aaaand last night was a potato and gravy kind of dinner, probably shouldnt do that 2 nights in a row.

I saw those on How It's Made a while back. First time I'd ever heard of them.

 

If someone Cooks pierogies correctly they are delicious, many people ruin them by over frying after they boil I like mine with lots of onions fried with them

 

E one of the great things about pierogies is that you get a bag of 30 for like $2 they are in the frozen food section with the other bags of vegetables and french fries and stuff, if you can find a Ukrainian Church in your area many of them sell pierogies out of the basement to support the church that's where I learned about them

 

i dont boil them...i just thaw them out and then fry them up with a bit of bacon

i like them crispy...i like the ones with potato and cheddar inside

my ukrainian neighbour would make dessert ones stuffed with blueberries but never shared any so i dont know how good they were

dang I need to eat at 11pm at night like I need another hole in my head (which I DON'T)...but

YOU PEOPLE have me hungry. That's right - I'm blaming y'all. lol

I went to the grocery story Friday, and didn't get a bunch of stuff...forgot to get it, plus the particular store I went to didn't have what I wanted....AND if I don't get everything to start with, I have to (get to) go to finish getting groceries Monday....and yes, by that I mean I have an excuse to get to escape for up to 2 hours more than just my one day of 2 hour escape on Friday.

I've been finding some wonderful flowers in excellent condition at the Salvation Army thrift store. So, instead of getting my bi-weekly reading material, I've been getting something nice for the yard for cheap. Plus it gives me work to do...and I honestly want stuff to do outside that takes my mind off of the snakes out there.

Even though I HATE HATE HATE snakes...I do know that getting bit (even 4 times bit) is not going to kill me. Plus I keep the little cat with 24 toes nearby while I'm working outside...he is real good about alerting me to when I need to kill one. It might not kill me, but I'm afraid him getting bit would kill him...so after he lets me know of their presence, I push him away and take care of business.

One time he did find a regular black snake, which I knew was fine because his head was regular bullet shaped...just blending on back into his serpent body so I let him go. When you ever see that distinctive triangular shaped head on the "wrong color" body I don't think you ever forget it.
