Small towns...what the heck?

    honestly I don't care for most small towns....maybe if they have a college they are ok. i find that the people aren't used to seeing other people, are even less trusting than city people, certainly less accepting.

    I like nature and everything, but for living i want to be around life, culture, music, places to go..i want a selection of jobs, different types of people around...i want to be able to be somewhat anonymous if i want to...I can always drive away to camp etc

    If i lived in a small place it would have to be near a city. where i live now has maybe 1.5 million in the area, and i can't see wanting to live somewhere much smaller.

    The town I grew up in had about 6000 people. There were good and bad things about it. I think there is a certain quiet charm to small towns but at the same time there were a lot of really ignorant, prejudiced, backwards people there.
