:rolleyes:anyways, the police monitor skype to catch con-artists and people selling credit card info and other fraud also

the most important thing would be for everybody to be just a little bit smart and use discretion. If what you're doing isn't sketchy...they're probably not going to be very interested in you...you're not Al-Quaeda are you? Now if your doin some sketchy ass shit then for one don't use skype...now if you were into that shit you would already know that and not do anything on an ISP account in your name, or else you would learn it in federal prison. I've always thought there were probably a few undercover FBI agents on IRC too

You're probably DHS, so I'm going to put this nicely. The war on terror is 85% propaganda, used to manipulate Americans. Al-Quaeda is not a real enemy to America (a country with the largest military in the world.)

People like you, with all your "fear of terrorism" is the reason it got this bad!!! One million Iraqi civilians have been killed, looking for these WMD's, and thousands of Americans.. For what? Oil..

I'm not into any sketchy shit, but I do speak freely and openly about my dislike for our government. In that narrow line, one can see the governments plan that has been manifesting itself under the guise of "fighting terror," it's taking away our freedom, and making everyone abide with this invasive TSA,DHS,FBI and, CIA without thinking twice or questioning your superiors.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."~Benjamin Franklyn~

actually i was hoping for something about skype and its use to catch career criminals and people that are beyond nasty

i'm too tired to reiterate all my points....other than to say that if people think skype is so important to them that they are willing to look the other way when the cartels come calling then they are seriously misguided

I don't even care about skype. I care about freedom, and if we let the government do this, we might as well let them put cameras in everyone's home to "prevent crime."

I would feel the same way, because I'm opposed to big government. And this new idea that the government can protect us from anything. I don't trust them, and I highly highly doubt, this was really invented to help anyone.

All the cameras around the USA, that the government put up to "Make sure people get home safely," do you really think they stop accidents and give people directions? Of course not! It's a lot of rhetoric to fool the general public.

This is the same thing, they act like they're protecting us as a guise. So that they'll be able to listen into our conversations, without any dissent. The government is too invasive on our civil liberties!!!

If you really think the government can/should keep you safe, go to jail. You'll be surrounded by cops and behind 45 inch think concrete. Even in jail, the government cannot protect one from all potential harm, the same is true in the real world.

This is just glorifying the horrific act of spying of our citizens!!!

StpLSD25 thanks for sticking to your guns and trying to enlighten folks. It is a tedious and thankless job, I know.

The point is, people, that we cannot let the government get too big (kinda late, right?). The danger in things like this is that once the governmnet has the power to do something, like spy on American citizens, the process to stop that is almost impossible. Laws breeze through our system of governmnet with barely a word to the people (owners) of this country. I absolutely cannot stand a fellow American arguing for more invasion of our privacy and more control in the name of security. And you see the same dumb-ass, conformist statement all the time "I don't understand what all the fuss is about, if you are not doing anything wrong then why would you care" or some other such nonsense like this:
It is when I see people argue for more control and "security" or just disregard it as not important to their, or their future children's lives, that I come closest to giving up hope, but I never fully give in. Know why? Cuz we have them OUT-FUCKING-NUMBERED and do not ever forget that...

i am a Canadian....some times the lesser of 2 evils is the way to go. In this case i am not really concerned that whom ever is spying on some douche from mexico in hopes of getting a big promotion for busting these crazy high profile dons of the cartels

the soup maker...a dude the cartels brought bodies to liquify... ....he stuffed the bodies into 60 gallon drums and used chemicals to make fucking human soup...out of hundreds of people...

that is off the blog del narco which is known to be reputable...there is hundreds more stories like that.

..you fuckin guys think we talking about you? come on...anything digital leaves a way to bring it back...there are no exceptions..

.dont join a cartel and you paranoid freaks will never be bothered...you can get together in your bomb shelters and survival gear and send me threats and flip out over who is watching you now

    haha

traffic and street cameras have many great uses...stop fuckin robbing bodegas and we wouldnt need'em

I don't think the size matters much.

It's that america is uncle sam's cult of personality. We worship the government. Just because we don't have a dear leader doesn't change it a whole lot.

The problem is that people take anything, when the whole of congress repeatedly bertays america, and every time obama says he will stand up against it, his pen accidentally slips and he signs whatever they put in front of him.

All ya gotta do is get out the informed vote....

This is what you're saying now, but if the stock market crashes, the government imposes martial law or, a natural disaster strikes. None of us will be considered "paranoid freaks," we'd be more like fuckin' Moses; Stocked, prepped and, warned people, but ultimately, couldn't kill the ignorance of mankind.

    I've said this before, but:

Martial law is here, that's just not the party line. They'll keep all you moses folks busy waiting for it for the rest of your lives, while it's all around you.

At least I have silver, copper, guns, food and, water stocked. These are the things that are potentially dangerous in the hands of our government.

i do somewhat agree with this...you'll see alot of cameras in my city...on streeet corners, on the outside of different buildings walkin by, at the rail stops, on the bus, and i think on the subway too but even with all these cameras do you think that there's not a shooting every day of the year, somedays more?
