Absolutely! Kinda sorta, theres a ramped piece of rock at the end, but you cant just roll up it because its too steep. So I would lift my front tire on top of the wall then use my forward momentum to roll forward while hopping the rear tire as high onto it as I could, Basically where my rear tire is in the picture is where I hopped it up to. Here's a quick video from a different wall, that demonstrates what I was doing:
Nice skier, makes me want to go bike a trail...probably should try it in central Texas (hill country). Inspiring pics bro.
That's what I like to hear! We need more people active in the sport, its an uphill battle to keep trails open to bikes, even though we put forth tons of effort to help trails and speak up, there just aren't enough of us to battle the people who don't believe bikes should travel on dirt.
Ha thanks! My skillz are nothing compared to this guys though, and I love this short film as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NII...ial&client=firefox-a&&feature=player_embedded
Also look at Ryan Leech videos, the man is part of his freakin bike! So I'll add some more shots to this thread from this evening. My good friend Dan and I went over to SUNY Albany, which is the college I attended to do some urban riding. It was a good night, I hit some large drops and I worked with Dan to get him more comfortable dropping things, so it was a success on multiple levels! Anywho here is some pics of Dan dropping some walls on campus:
Here's some shots of myself, and a video of my largest drop to date And the blurry cell phone video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRtPpt3XI7k
I kept getting "Oh my god" and "wow" responses from people, and at one point I had a crowd of 7 or 8 people watching me, I think they wanted to see a crash ha ha! I'm liking this whole urban thing a lot. I just need to get better at little bike finesse things so I can start trying stylish tricks and such rather than just hucking myself off a wall.
I can sort of manual (ride on the rear wheel while not pedaling) I cant hold it for more than 10-15 feet though I'm still working on finding the balancing point. As for an endo (lifting your rear tire off the ground while balancing on the front tire) I can do that decently. And I can wheelie enough to get me off a drop that has no long run ins.
