yes hiphopforrespect, that's me in my sig pic. why do you ask? streetlight manifesto are amazing. ahhhh there needs to be more ska threads on here it's filled with progrock and metal. ska is tasty!
Anyone remember a Long Island band called Edna's Goldfish? Growing up here, they were the biggest thing since sliced bread. I saw Mustard Plug, Catch-22, The Pietasters, Midtown, and many others all opening for Ednas even though all those bands have bigger followings outside of long island. I also dig some of the 1st wave such as toots and the maytals, desmond dekker, and the skatalites. 2nd wave such as the english beat, and especially THE SPECIALS and a few third wavers besides the ones mentioned above, like the toasters, the pilfers, less than jake, etc. Man, I miss the old days of the long island ska scene with Edna's Goldfish, Step lively, Spider Nick and the Maddogs, the Skaflaws, and ASOB before everyone went emo. FUCK EMO
i love LOVE ska! it makes me SO happy... reel big fish, mighty might boss tones, suicide machines, specials, less than jake, dancehall crashers, voodoo glow skulls, musatrd plug! AH! SO WONDERFUL SKA PUNK ROCKS, TOO!
I love Edna's Goldfish.. I found out about them through a co-worker who used to live in Long Island. Good stuff.
