A couple of pseudo-intellectual guys having their biweekly poetry night. Here they will recite poems from both their own writings as well as from the old masters.

 

i'm sure that guy trying to read is getting a hell of a lot done with those other two jerks making a pain in the ass of themselves. but what on earth (besides appearantly harrassing him) are they doing anyway? i won't make the obvious comment about where one seems to have his hand, but what's that thing next to the other one? some kind of big round piece of carboard with a bunch of marbles glued to it? or a giant m&ms cookie?

well you can see who snuck in while i was commenting on the one below it. THAT picture i've already commentied on in another tread on this same forum. something about happy weather and taking days off work just to enjoy it, while there are homeless people who would gladly be working.

True. Appearance is deceiving.

 

i know someone who looks (a lot to me, who can't really tell appearances worth a dam anyway, so if it's not you and you're not that person, please don't take it personal) like the person in that picture. although i'm pretty sure she's at least a decade older then 24, and i won't mention the word "rehab". i and my wife even rode in her car once. to a get togather of people who don't drink, while the person in question, was almost too far out of it to find the parking place that was right in front of us. none of which i realized until it got to that point and we were almost there anyway.

i don't remember for sure, but i THINK we got a ride home with someone else.
if it hadn't been too late in the evening for there to be any of them between here and there, at the time it was supposed to and did get started, we would definately have taken a bus anyway. at least i would have anyway.

but we do, and did, appreciate the ride all the same. just if i'd known in advance that was how we were going to get there, i'd have given that one a pass and stayed home doing what i'm doing now. i DO wish her, and you, all the happiness in the world though.
