I'm pretty sure its the vitamin c mixing with the psilocybe and psylocin. Me and my friends always take 2 vitamin c tablets and drink oj during our trip and u can really notice a difference.

Its not just vitamin C. Im pretty sure theres a possiblity vitamin C diminishes the effects of psilocybin

idk back when i first started doing mushrooms i used to drink lots of OJ while tripping w/o even thinking about it. I don't drink too much normally but unconsciously i would always grab half gallons from the store before or during a trip and drink it throughout.

probably a coincidence but interesting still... that is if there really is a synergy between the acid / vitamin C and the psilocybin.

I would have to disagree. But then again im not positive. I just know that when i trip i take vitamin c tablets and drink OJ. It seems to intensify the trip and my friends notice the same affects. I'm sure the acidity helps to break down the poisons faster into your system also. Idk. Ima keep takin vitamin c tho :D

I think taking vitamin C tablets and drinking OJ is counter productive. If you drink even 500ml of OJ your getting a ton of vitamin C, Likely more than your body can use and process, the rest just gets eliminated through urine.

You're right. One's body becomes "saturated" with vitamin c after 200-500 mg, with the excess being pissed out since vitamin c is water soluble. Furthermore, it is possible to overdose on vitamin c, which can result in nause, diahrea, and eventually kidney stones with longterm misuse.

well im gonna try the shrooms and lemon juice, cause like someone before me said, the worst that can happen is a normal trip. but does the trip last a shorter amount of time? if so, how short?

i hear that it is more intense but shorter. What i think is you take less and get the same peak but come down sooner. So if you are low on your stash or want a shorter trip this maybe a good thing.

I think its like this theres only a finite amount of the psycoactive compound in whatever quantity of mushroom your eating. When you do the lemon juice/oj thing it releases these compounds faster (Im not a scientist) making for a shorter/better trip. I would take that 100% of the time against a longer less intense trip.

But yeah I find peaks faster and theres not a huge comedown.

does the ground up mush need to sit in the lemon juice for a period of time, or can it just be poured in and then drank?
