Should Teachers be allowed to carry guns to school?

plus there is one teacher and 30 students in a class, sounds like it would not be so hard to overpower the teacher, take the gun, then shoot the teacher

Face it, it's called common sense, if a teacher or anyone for that matter wanted to carry a gun in a school and nut up they could. Whether or not they should be allowed guns has no reign over that. If someone wants to kill someone or several someones, they're going to do it one way or another in any case.

 

It's freaky that some people think this is a good idea.

 

School shootings don't happen because people assume nobody there is armed.

These people want to shoot untill they get shot dead in a blaze of 'glory.'

But that shit doesn't happen significantly. It's a horrible statistical anomaly.

It becomes much more likely when you start arming everyone in a freaking school with children.

Teachers aren't police and they have no fucking authority to be carrying a gun around to
'handle situations'.

This isn't a John Woo movie. We're talking guns in a high school carried by teachers.

allowing teachers to carry guns is just asking for more trouble and future problems..Let's say little Timmy is an active kid who acts out in class cause he thinks it's funny and the teacher gets annoyed cause he hears these kids laughing voices and then just explodes into some sort of breakdown and pulls out his gun he has and either points it at the kids or shoots them..I'm sure this won't happen but you never know... I dunno, just giving examples...

another example, let's say a teacher thinks or assumes a student is dangerous or is going to be just because of rumors or taunts from peers, I'm sure he'll have a gun pointed at them..

I dunno nor do I really care since I am not in school.. People carry guns everywhere.. most of my co-workers do... I don't really care either way...

 

What the hell would they use them for anyway?! Surely that's just showing kids that they need to be carrying guns too.. just.. to go to school. That's crazy.

No. There isn't anyone shooting in schools. It isn't happening. It's not going to happen to you. Just freak anomalies. Not good reasons to put more guns in schools.

A: Teacher could Flip.

B: Teacher could be overpowered.

In neither case do putting more guns into that situation help.

Anyone who goes into teaching to carry a gun to a high school should lose their degree.

What effort is made now? How many teachers do you see searched before entering a school? In all honesty, many teacher could already have guns in the classrooms.

Not an excuse to make it easier for them or anyone to have a gun in a classroom.

 

Read what I said on the other page, if the teacher is going to flip and turn a gun on the kids, he/she is going to do it regardless of a no gun or pro gun rule.

If that said person/teacher whatever has a gun in their car, they can simply walk out, get it, return to class and nut up.

 

But it's illegal and if the school board knew about it they'd fire the teacher.

Then a solution that makes more sense is to start searching those teachers on the way in and out every time,, not hand them the guns.

 

It's not an excuse, is IS easy to carry a gun to class as it stands right now. It maybe against the rules of schools or even laws in some states but how many people really abide by those?

Aside from this the fact remains, if someone is going to do something like that a simple RULE will not change the psychos mind.

If I were a teacher, with how kids are going nuts these days, I would carry one or more of my guns on person just like I do anywhere else.
