I'd like to point out I graduated high school 6th in my class. I work at a fast food restaurant. Graduating high school, even with honors, is still not always enough to keep you from fast food in today's economy.

Finish school dude. Most of us thought it was a bunch of bs.

Make your teachers teach. Challange them! Ask questions. Learn as much as you can, you won't regret it later. If you don't finish, you will regret it, guaranteed.

Have you considered home schooling? Don't quit school without a plan to be educated in some way.

Hey, a job is a job. Some people look at that kind of work and say "I won't get paid enough for that piddly work", failing to realize that the undocumented aliens many complain about will take those jobs because to them they aren't piddly jobs- they are opportunity.

When opportunity knocks, answer the door. If opportunity doesn't knock, go outside, grab the bastard and drag it in your house.

In the end, my friend, the only true opportunities you will get that have any value are those that you have to make. Making them isn't hard. Use your head!

Oh, wait. I forgot. You can't use your head because.... you wanna quit school. Ok then.

Go welch off of welfare because you can't find a job. Fake a disability and try to get SSDI. I know a guy that does that, and he even turned down a $14/hr. job because he might lose his bennies. That's fine. That's what he did with his opportunity. I just hope you can do something better.

So stay in school and tough it out.

    Great advice!

Everyone has posted some great advice. Home-schooling/ virtual school is an alternate way to go. Rise above the B.S. that is called H.S. -- years later you'll look back and laugh.

after high school, as for film making, volunteering, environmental groups, and progressive politics, check out a more liberal place like Albuquerque, New Mexico and also Santa Fe, NM ... they are now filming a lot of movies in New Mexico and it's not expensive like L.A. - and the University of New Mexico which has a VERY low out of state tuition ...

    also perhaps Austin, TX

however both cities have *VERY* high crime and I would never again live anywhere in New Mexico or Texas

check out the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice on-line

also see the Southern Poverty Law Center in Alabama - for bullying issues, equal rights, gay rights, hate groups, etc. etc. etc. -

Seriously think about finishing and getting that diploma while you have the chance.
