It's been ingrained in people's minds for the past 200+ years that the constitution is so grand, we'll defend it with our lives. When will it be time to move on as a society and collectively evolve as people? As long as people protect that piece of paper with ignorance and human life, that'll never happen.

Population density has great bearing on a society and the behaviors of the people involved. Do you think 1000 people cramped within 20 square miles will volunteer the same statistics that 1000 people will spaced out over 200 square miles? Violence sky rockets the denser people are confined, more urban areas = higher crime rate. What does that have to do with per capita?

So your contention is "the constitution is old".
That isn't really a point. It's age in no way makes gun ownership obsolete.

If anything, if you want to get down and dirty about the Constitution, those gun laws were formed at at time when citizens could own the same firearms that the military had. The context of that ownership was the ability to defend yourself against similarly armed individuals. You wouldn't and couldn't do so with a musket nowadays. If we were so ignorant and blindly slobbering over the Constitution as you say then most everyone would be clamoring for fully automatic assault rifles and grenade launchers, but that isn't the case. Most people realize they have no need for such weapons and thus don't want them.

It's too bad that you think that pointing out the truth and facts is rude...

However, that has nothing to do with this thread.

So, now the problems in the US with guns is caused by the population density?

Your earlier argument was that the US had more gun violence because there were more people there...

Now, its because you are packed more tightly together...

I won't bother linking the cities in the world that have a much higher density rate then ANY city in the US and yet still have less gun violence, as you will just change your story again and continue to live in denial...

Then my opinion should not matter in your eyes.

That isn't directly written into the constitution and would depend upon the context someone tried to morph the words into. That's what I'm trying to say, it doesn't matter what was happening at the time. It is irrelevant today.

I can get a license for fully automatic fire arms and most likely a rocket launcher, as the U.S. Constitution allows.
    just takes a special permit.
