so, thanx everyone for the links, has anyone tried homeopathic vaccines? has anyone experienced their child getting whooping cough or diptheria??? those are the 2 that scare me the most. let me know what u think.
I wouldn't worry about whooping cough. I was vaccinated against it, as well as 2 of my sblings, and we all got it. I was hit very hard, my brother who had it at the same time, barely had anything compared to me. It's mean, but as far as I know, as a child it'S not that harmful.
I couldn't imagine having to deal with my baby getting that! I heard that their little faces literally turn blue every time they cough. Thats horrible! What about Diptheria? anyone experience that? what is it exactly??
HI GIRLIE, well my daughters had all of her shots up to age 18 months and has NEVER gotten sick by any of them, not even a fever. Thers always a possibility of running a fever afterwards but thats all. I have TONS of cousins (21 on my moms side)and they all have had there kids gets shots and has never had a problem. Just because one child had a bad reaction dosent mean yours will. Yes its possible but hey we also take a risk whenever we drive somewhere. In my opinion im not going to have my daughter not have her vacc just because of that, i want her to be protected against ALL of those diseases. To me thats more important. Merry Blessings
diptheria doesnt happen in the states. there was ONE case in 2003. only one case out of 300 million people. i wouldnt sweat it. if i had an infant with pertussis, i would turn to homeopathy and naturopathy. sodium ascorbate (the good kind of vite C) is also supposed to be incredibly helpful in healing pertussis. i would also breastfeed so that my nursling would receive all of the goodies in my milk that help with immunity, and i would make sure that i was eating a very nutritious and healthy diet. i seriously doubt my hypothetical infant with pertussis would turn blue everytime he coughed if i was doing all of those things, in fact, i would expect him to have a very mild case. willow83~keep reading! there's a lot of info available if you're looking for it. http://www.mothering.com/discussions/forumdisplay.php?f=111
I talked with a few naturopaths today that gave me some good insight. i don't think I'm gonna give her any vaccines. I found out that they used to put Mercury in them and they stopped that but now they use aluminum instead. also, there have been several studies done that link autism and ADD to vaccines. Also, he said that he had several children that he gave homeopathic remedies to in place of the vaccines and those children had less ear infections and other allergies throughout their lives. So much have I found that goes against giving vaccines, much more than positive reasons to do it. So, its not just the reactions that worry me but the long term effects that can occur years after the shots are given. There isn't much supportive research on the homeopathic remedies but at least those don't have any side effects. Oh, and I found out to that there was a study with the children who had the Tetaneus vaccines had lower T-cell counts than those who didn't have the vaccine (those are the cells that aid in immune function, people with aids have a problem with that). So, I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna give her any more shots, this is a very personal decision and I know everyone has different opinions out there on this, I just hope that all u mom's out there won't let these western doctors scare you into doing something you might not be ok with.
