I'm pretty sure the Cave-In version has that bit from The Lemon Song on it. Might have imagined it though.
omfg, dimmu borgir... wow, that is some death-ass reaming- genital hemmorage inducing music. my friend is obsessed.
Krzysztof Penderecki’s “Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima.” eerie strings that swell up till it sounds like a million people screaming at once.... it'll at least give you the chills...
I just stuck up a link for Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy for anyone that needs a bit of freaking out. I think the video for windowlicker was a bit fucked up aswell, nowhere near as much as Come to Daddy but still fucked up.
that song 'revolution' from the beatles.. i was a friend's house super-baked and that song comes on, and i was just thinking about life and if i'm really here, alive, etc.. and that part comes where it sounds like paul's saying 'you're dead' sorta hidden.. that tottaly tripped me out
get really stoned, close your eyes and lay your head down, then listen to Faipp de Oaid by TOOL, thats some fuckin crazy shit.
I was driving home from SF on Easter Sunday at 2:30am, teetering on the brink of delirium (after having 5 hours of sleep the night before and being awake for 20 hours). I was listening to Art Zoyd's album Faust, and when the 3rd track started-- two panning timpani beating out a 5:4 polyrhythm over these creepy string and harpsichord lines-- I was pretty freaked out. Especially since I was driving under this stone-arch railroad bridge, and it seemed like I was on another planet... Some other good "scary" groups/composers/pieces: Univers Zero, Coil, Morphogenesis, David Hykes & The Harmonic Choir, George Crumb's "Black Angels", Ligeti's "Atmospheres"/"Lux Aeterna"/"Requiem", pretty much anything by Stockhausen-- once a friend and I got stoned and listened to Stockhausen's orchestral "Gruppen" backwards on the turntable, it was an unforgettable experience...
