But being hairy is feminine. It's a characteristic of being a grown woman, making it feminine. Shaving makes women child-like, and I find that disturbing.
though largely subjective i agree, a woman's body is comprehensive of some hair and should be accepted as a whole.
Body hair is masculine. Just look at Asian women (the archetype of femininity, IMO). They have very little body hair at all. I wouldn't consider a hairy woman to be feminine at all..a hairy man would be masculine for sure. With that logic, shaven men must be child-like then, too. So if women don't need to shave, then neither should men. (Btw, I agree on the looking younger part -- I usually have a full beard, as I do now, tho I shave it in cycles of about once every other month, and look about 5-6 years younger. I have the face for a beard for sure...I get more attention from women and every girl I've been with say I look better with facial hair than without it).
Western women in general have more masculine features and behavior than Eastern women. A lot of people don't know it, but blonde haired people tend to have more hair on their body than dark haired people...it's just that the blonde hairs are less visible than dark hairs, obviously. This is part of the reason why Asian women look very child-like or youthful (besides stature and fashion) as compared with Western women. They have very little body hair (which tends to make people look older rather than younger). So....culturally-speaking... femininity is associated with youthfulness masculinity is associated with adulthood (provider, etc)
Some Asian women can be very hairy! Oriental women tend to have little body hair, whereas some from the Indian sub-continent can be quite hirsute + I've also seen some very hairy legs on women whilst travelling in Kazakhstan. Body hair is as natural on a woman as a man, though men tend to be more extensively hairy. It is only cultural expectations that see body hair as unfeminine. Women naturally have pubes/pits as hairy as a man + many women would naturally have pretty hairy legs too, though other body hair is usually far less pronounced on women. I think a natural unshaved woman can look very feminine. Hair that grows normally on a woman by definition cannot be masculine!
