^^^^^^^ That was good! Maybe better than the US version. Is the UK series available to watch on Youtube or elsewhere? Is everyone in the UK over 80? lol!
You can catch them all on here..we're quite a bit ahead! Go to series one at the bottom. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/shameless/4od I think it's just seeing it as a remake that's put me off a bit...and you're right Macy does a great job :2thumbsup:
Don't think 4od is viewable outside the UK. That link I provided links to 4od as well I didn't realise. Guess you can probably find a torrent for it somewhere,,
Twat! I just downloaded what I thought was the first two episodes of the US version, but it turned out to be two fucking copies of part fucking 2! Arse!
I've seen the first and second episode of the US version. I love it, although I do think the pilot episode was a lot better than the second episode, but I hope the third episode redeems itself! I assumed that the American version added in all the raunchiness, the whole dildo ass scene and what not, but from what I understand that all happened in the British version too. I would be interested in seeing the UK version, but I'll probably wait until the first season of the American version is over. I think its a great role for William H. Macy and if I were a lesbian I would be completely in love with Emmy Rossum.
Where the hell in america is this filmed, Alaska? I'm sure I heard them say that Michael Jackson just died, but he died in the summer of 2009. Yet there was snow lying on the ground everywhere! They've done a good job finding US equivalents of all the character's, but I am not sure if they are intending on finding identical character for character... erm characters. The little ginger girl looks like Liam Gallacher's long lost twin sister as well, not the one from Oasis that would be daft, the young lad in the UK version. Can't wait to see the US version of the McGuire's LOL if they have such a thing. If you think the Gallacher's are rough... you definitely wouldn't want to live next door to the McGuires...
Haven't seen last nights episode 3 of "Shameless". Was it any good? NEVER MIND -just saw it - Really good - really funny.
i don't think Paul Abbott could, in any way, be classed as "middle-class" awesome series!!!... and although i too share your uncomfortable feeling Etherea, it is like that in many places... not just up north, but with the diaspora, daan saaf too
I started watching the first episode (after watching the 2nd) and I thought it was OK, but I got bored half way through and turned some music on instead. I often do this with the UK version, which I was never a huge fan of anyway. Like I say.. Being Human is where it's at.
They just started showing this in america.. and here's my beef Rich fucks need to leave poor girls alone. We have a hard enough time without some flashy captian save-a-hoe coming along.
And homos! UK Shameless spoiler alert! Gay boy turns straight eventually and starts pumping girls in Shameless UK LOLZ Leave our chicks alone gays!
Only just started, probably still available on bbc iplayer. Good start to S3 IMO, lots of great new characters. Lacey Turner was a bit annoying though. I much preferred her when she played vulnerable Stacey the bipolar slut kitten in Eastenders. Paul Kaye was fantastic! He always is though in anything he does. Shameless US ep1- "What's the one thing that we need?..... continuity!" Yeah, how about some more convincing laughter dubbing?
Yup the 3rd show was a good comeback from the last one. It was good to see Bill Macy half-way sober for a change. But it was Joan Cusack who stole the show. Her agoraphobia moment has to be a screen classic now. Her character is amazing. You gotta feel for her. The characters are starting to grow on me and that's what makes a series a hit.
I agree with Skip. Episode three was cool. Oh -- Sorry guys, we're talking about the American version - others about the UK version.
