I loved this "insult" that they were advertising on a radio station here:

"We got grunge, you got flashdance. Oh, what a feeling!"

Man has the conference imbalance shifted...
Through the 80's and much of the 90's it wasn't so much a question of whether or not the NFC team would win but by how much... and a playoff 6th seed from the AFC defeating the top seed of the NFC; the times they are a-changing.

That was the worst played game we ever won - but a win is a win

Steelers won. Good for them. They played strong second half.

But I just can't get over how the refs just couldn't stop making shitty calls. Seahawks lost over 140 yard to shitty calls. Not to mention, that first quarter touchdown THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

We played a good strong first half. Even the commentators noticed how strong our game was. But by second half, we weren't just playing against the Steelers. We were fighting refs left and right.

    Absolute bull.

No offense, but the coach for the Steelers looked like a Teamsters Enforcer, while the Seahawks dude looked like a middle school English teacher. I knew then the Steelers had it.

Amen to that HippyFreek, and how 'bout that Steelers touchdown where the football didn't make it past the goal line till after Roethlisberger was down! That was not a freakin' touchdown, man, those refs sucked ass. I don't know who paid them off, but I hope they rot slowly.
Oh well, the Seahawks really didn't play that well, they missed a lot of passes that should have been, and unfortunately caught some out of bounds or got it called back for penalties (again, damn refs!)
I'm just glad they made it there.
And hope the refs bus was in an accident after the game.
And that the cops called it on them, even if it wasn't their fault.
    Alright, I guess I'm bitter.
I wish no harm to anyone.
    Peace!

wow you are so horribly one sided
maybe the ball was in, maybe it wasn't
you couldn't see cause Roethlisberger's body was in the way when his shoulder hit, it was inconclusive evidence so the rulings stand. Noone paid the refs off, they made lots of big calls on both sides, they made tons of good calls, tons of shitty ones
and you bitch about the refs giving your team penalties, THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSSED TO DO I bet you got mad at the refs for noticing that offensive pass interference that Could have been if your team wasn't playing so fucking dirty the whole game
the fact is your team was not playing their best, and they were holding and playing unfairly like crazy (how about your man pulling Von Oelhoffen by the face and Madden tlaking him up for it)
playing dirty is worse than losing and Seahawks did both
and as far as the calling, I was pretty mad when the refs missed that horseshoe tackle, I want the Steelers to win, but I wnat them to win as clean a game as possible

Now wait just a minute. I'll give you that a couple of the things that happened were pretty shitty. Our guys were not in the right, especially grabbing the face mask. Not cool.

But when more than just Washingtonians are pissed about this game, something wasn't right. There are sports writers and players from D.C. to Chicago and everywhere else in the nation upset at the refs for the shitty job they did on the Bowl.

And you don't think someone was paid off? Did you know that Sports Illustrated was already advertising Steelers Victory Memorabilia BEFORE the game began? But absolutely nothing for the Seahawks? That fair? How'd they know? For a non-biased sporting magazine, they sure seemed to have a fair idea of who was going to win.

And don't give me any "Maybe they were just Steelers fans". Even so, as a huge magazine like that, they'd be losing money if they weren't SURE it was happening like that. So they had to have been certain.

Now I'm not usually a sports person, at all. But the refs did BOTH SIDES a great injustice during this game.

Forget football, the people in Seattle actually are upset, which means they are showing some emotion, a rarity.

The only people I know in the Greater Seattle area that don't show emotion are the Eastside "Ladies", the women with tons of money and absolutely no polite bone in their body.

And yeah, redmond's kinda sucky too. But for the most part, the people in this area are laid back and nice to be around. Even a few in Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland, etc...

But I knew Pitt would get it soon as I heard they were playing in Detroit.
Even though it was indoors at Ford Feild, it's still Cold weather.
I said it would be Pitt if it were held in a cold place.
(Even though They had trouble getting past 3rd down in the first!)
On a Hippy Note: It's TIME for the stones to retire! I saw the 1/2 time show...
