Funny, everyone thinks they have these "rights". WHAT rights? You have no rights if your under 18 and especially on school grounds you fucking morons. And IMO, you fucking deserve to get whatever is handed to you for smoking at school, you knew the consequences involved. No sympathy here..

If they wanted to they could tell how long ago it was they smoked based on THC level and if they reeked of pot, I doubt they could give an arguement saying someone gave them a pot brownie.

^ Kid is right on. Being under 18 means you have no rights, and on top of that, being at school means you have even less than no rights. All your shit that you bring to school is subject to LEGAL searches. I know that's how it is in my state, maybe it's different in some though. Either way there's no point school is like six hours and you can meet up with your buddies afterwards and do all sorts of fucked up stuff.

if you write a poem for english that may have a subtle drug reference they'll stick you in addiction counselling.

if you write a sad poem or story or a story about domestic violence in school they'll call social services on yer house (it happened to my friend, she wrote a story in school about an abusive dad and the next day 2 cops and a social worker are visiting her hours WTF?)

another friend of mine got busted at school for 3 joints got a 2 week suspension and the principal just threw the joints in her drawer, and didnt hand them in to any officers or anything. WTF? like she believes she's the law

I agree with most of that, but there is no place for drugs at school. Even if weed were legal, there is no place for it at school. Your friend just be thanking the principal for not informing the police. If she had decided she wasn't 'the law' then your friend would have a criminal record, and possibly a felony for possession within 1500 feet of a school which carries a mean mandatory minimum sentence in quite a few states.
Marijuana impairs short term memory, this is a FACT and nobody can argue it. You can say you can learn fine on weed, but it's a fact you can't. You shouldn't be skipping out of school to smoke. I don't understand how you people get so pissed when you get caught doing drugs at a place your suppose to be learning, where you have no rights, and tax-payer dollars are being spent on your education. grow up

 

i wasnt saying it was a bad thing she didnt call the cops I was saying it was fucked, and about the drugs at school thing i totally agree, if you get caught you have no excuse, but I'm jsut saying for classes that are busy work like, almost every class Im in this term its fun and (in some cases) easier to be stoned for it because its not so tedious to give an example of my typical day at school it goes like this

sober:
sleep through french
english: make fun of our illiterate teacher try to rea lord of the flies
Computar lab: freak out cause the damn school computar system sucks
tourism: copy notes off the board

stoned:
sleep through french class
english: put in my headphones so i cant hear our illiterate teacher read lord of the flies out loud and read it to myself
computar lab: just type out whatever needs to be typed and be mellow while doing so
tourism: trip out to good music in my headphones while copying notes down

so In my situation i say it's pretty harmless to go to school stoned and my marks haven't been better (dont worry Im not giving the credit for that to weed)

but if i was taking like advanced calculous (sp?) i would wanna remain sober


plus i never skip school to toke up
however i would toke up if i was already skipping just because

 

you have right, the thing is when i was like 15 a cop pulled me over and told me i was too young to smoke and that id better give him my cigs, i said its not agenst that law and walked away. when you no the laws there power over you is less.

Cops can be REAL dicks about smoking cigs. A year ago I got confronted by a cop when I was just sitting in a parking lot (wasn't doing anything illegal/suspcious, I had been there maybe 3 minutes) He came up to me with the usual bullshit, license and registration, what am I doing here. I was kind of blowing the smoke out from my cig towards him because I was looking and talking to him while I was smoking my cig and he FREAKED out. He was threatening to arrest me for some bullshit because I was blowing the smoke at him and I shouldn't even be smoking (of course, he ended up getting in his cop car and driving the fuck away)

Blowing smoke in a cop's face is just plain idiotic bro, they're on a power trip 90% of the time and are LOOKING for a reason, looking for you to slip up, when a cop was so close to my face yelling that I caught a face full of spit, and I said something to him about spitting all over my face, they BOTH flipped out threw me on the hood and cuffed me, told me I was a smartass piece of garbage drug dealer, the dumbest drug dealer they ever met in fact is what they said. So yes, only a retard would blow cig smoke in a cop's direction. THat's just an invitation for a cop to ruin your day.

If your referring to me, I had no idea what hippiebilly was talking about, I understood the sentences, but I don't understand the relevance to anything in this thread. I can read just fine. Half of the posts on this forum are total jibberish, barely recognizable as english, so uhh fuck you.

The cop couldn't do shit to me, I had nothing on me, I was doing nothing illegal, and if he had tried some bullshit I would have sued his ass. The cops in my town are notorious for pulling stupid shit, but seriously, what are they going to do? At the time I had no criminal record, I had no reason to be questioned by the cop in the first place other than I was a teenager, I was totally clean. The cop couldn't do shit, there is nothing idiotic about accidently blowing smoke in a cops direction when I was doing nothing wrong in the first place.

Ston3r, in your case, pushing cops to their limits probably wouldn't have been a good idea since they could nail you for public intoxication, but if your not doing anything illegal, what the hell are they going to do?

Refering to Tainted's post, if you read, he didn't say he blew smoke in a cop's face, he said he was smoking a cigarette and when the cop came up to him and did the usual routine, the smoke went in the cop's direction since you normally face the direction of the cop when he's talknig to you. And last I checked, it was still perfectly legal to smoke a cigarette in public in Connecticut, and I'm also pretty sure it's not illegal for a minor to posses tobacco products.

 

In Michigan, it is illegal for anyone under 18 to possess tobacco products.
