Say No ! To Id Cards !!!!!

Its a fact that the id card seeks to put everyone in debt to the government. You are issued a card by the government to prove you are a citizen and to show that you have a stake in this country. The fact is it is a way to make you submit to the idea that they have the right to interfere in the lives of those who carry them and to interefere if you dont carry one - its not an ID card its a submission card - you submit your freedom to their authority. They can spy on you - you cannot spy on them ! the information and power flows only in one direction - from those who issue the card - to those who recieve it ! in that way THEY OWN YOU -
Go ask any police officer to see his identity and they will think you are taking the piss ! now go to parliament and demand to see blairs identity card and they will arrest you. Any of those people that work for the state have the right to demand your id card but even if you have the right to see theirs - merely asking for that will get you in serious trouble - I tried it with a cop once and he said I was taking the piss and to "fuck off" and stop wasting his time - said all I needed to know was his numbers on his jacket

That aint good enough for me - I want a scanner where I can scan their ID

What about in Brazil where - before you access the internet you will soon have to use your id card and have it scanned into the computer - true !!!
now you tell me that they wont do that here !!! and I will tell you differently very differently !

What were you doing at the time ? - i think you may have found a very rude officer - if they were willing to tell you to ''fuck off'' it seems they were never likely to be helpful. I'd have taken his No. [that is pretty much all you need anyway] and reported them to their superior.

I'm going to give it a go today [ask to see their ID card]. I'll explain my rationale though first. That might prevent me from being told to fuck off *giggle*.

Is that the same as in the Czech Republic where you enter your ID card into a device before you can see information about you. Such as goverment records [websites] and who has looked at your data [goverment workers] ?. That is a good idea.

We were pasting posters on a wall to advertise a band I was involved with. Him and his mate were being a bit shit to us about it - and told us to throw the paste away and ditch the bucket and brush - but I said I would pour the paste away but the bucket was going with me - but he chucked em over a fence into a builders yard - so I said I didnt believe he was a cop - and wanted to see his identity papers - but he said he werent even gonna let me take his number and if I did - he would arrest me. What can you do though ?
I mean I didnt want to get arrested and I got the brush and bucket back the next day.

No I am talking about the fact that in Brazil the government is bringing in a law where you cannot surf unless you type your name and social security number onto a logon page of somekind or have a card read into a scanner - Absolutely true but I cant be bothered to dig up the info for you right now.

I think that another point to recap on is that the ID card which they want to introduce in the UK is an entirely different kettle of fish to the ones in circulation over the rest of the EEC.

A further point is this: Some people haven't really paid much thought to the consequences, and it is really sad considering the amount of effort put into research to inform us.

Your medical details are going to be put in a database and every government department and his dog are going to have access to it!

Its all becoming rather a sads fact of life that you are all going to sacrifice a great deal of privacy for the comfort of knowing that whatever happens you will at least not be blown to peices by a terrorist with a genuine ID card - or will you?? Oh yeah and I forgot - maybe you will reflect one day on just how life could have been different if only the local bobby in your rural town didnt know all your medical history, employment history, as well as the amount you earn and all the places you used the card when visiting other towns - from this the police and your employers will be able to virtually blackmail you into accepting whatever it is theyre offering. You ask for more money - they call into question your fitness - dont believe that isnt what will happen - its a rough world - You want your employer to give you promotion - well you pay your own medical insurance to pay for the extra risk premiums out of your own wages etc etc etc

You threaten to blow the whistle on their unfair trading practices - they threaten to tell everyone how you once got caught drink driving or something worse - this isnt about protecting you its about snooping on you and keeping you in your place !

hows that for nice and secure - and if you havent done anything wrong - well you try getting a mortgage in the future without signing away your entire life history with that card ! so you really do want everyone from the bank teller to the police and the doctor AND your employer - all sharing the same information?

There wont be any one of you in your 50's able to look em in the eye before turning your head away because they will have you by the short and curlies. and what will you know of them????
why is that information all about the state and employers and banks??????

In actual fact they will soon find that is totally illegal and was outlawed some time during the 1930's when some companies insisted that every employee should have to buy some of the companies products from their wages each week. The unions threatened a strike and the government outlawed the practice because other people too, such as farmers were getting people to work on their land and then insisting that the workers stay on the land and buy food out of their wages whilst camped there. The idea that a company can force you to use their products is totally illegal whether you work for them or not. Its called wage slavery and is actually a serious offence. there have been retailers who sacked staff for not buying the clothes they sell each week - and workers who are told they wont get jobs unless a quarter of their wage is spent buying company produce

HA HA HA the same blind ignorance that will lead to ID cards saw off the unions that would have stopped these criminals in the boardrooms from getting away with this

However you are right - the employers have dreamt of a scenario in which the workers are forced to accept their terms of employment with little or no recourse to law - ever since thatcher was in power the employers have made it a stated aim to put industrial relations back to the state they were before the unions built their power base during the 1920's - you will find this government and successive government only wants you here if they can use you and if they cant use you - you starve !!! simple as that - poverty is a thing of the future aided by employers who have pushed for the id card since the 1940's as a way to control the workforce and force out those who oppose their ideas of employment contracts.

simple really, you carry a card, and your employer can instanly access EVERY single bit of data on you that the state keeps, medical, criminal, work history, and other important data - well suppose you dont want them to know?

These people have the power, now, to blackmail you into accepting their conditions
