I have never seen em in action either. Ive read a report once as it was many years ago, and it was arguable. No I see the reds, a tad usefull off the LPS, again it was a dream since the lps lamps are so small, Id like to try a little room for giggles, but I will not go out and buy them.. Id have to find them as salvage as I often did as a electrian years ago. I gave many lamps away to freind when I went into the service..
only one of my freinds made good use of the lamps. The others MIA. so sad.
But on the UPs for the freind still growing,< fact I was just at his house some days go,
He has very little interest in the internet so I didnt mention it to much, But I said I know some people that would love photos. HES super parinoid cause he has a family and does not sell to anyone PERIOD. hell smoke you out all day, but yould never know hes growing.. he does two rooms. One 400vegi. one 400flow. nice and simple .

Its really how you look at it too. My freind while growing up, was straight up pussy wippped, Going turkey hunting became less and less, eventually as we grow apart we grew together, I seen a maturity in this freind that others didnt get, It was called growing up and being responsable and caring for your family first. As his wife became more and more atune to his liking to be out hunting deers and turkey she also seen that this lifestyle was what he loved and smoking the fine green with my man opening day of turkey season makes Opening day more special. Other than that our freindship is mostly by phone and the occasional Doodie drop in visits..
Never seem to get a bird on the opening day? dont know why> gobble gobble... "cough"...

 

Speaking of turkeys, Im sure you got some in them woods... Wow really nice. Ill get some of our place soon as we get a clear camera, the phone cam isnt too great..

Want to get a turkey flock to roost? get a call.. And park you butt under a pine tree at night, Call Goes. "hooty Who, Who "c"ook 'pause' who".. anyways be kind hard to tell yeah how to make the sound, But I do it all the time and get anywhere from 20/30 bird to come.. Oh, you must use a owl call for this.. owls are enemies to turkeys. I did this once and had a 100 turkeys, wow was it funny. I was kinda scared.. lol I was surrounded in minutes by turkeys as they flew from all over to this one local.

yeah Manic good landing.. i must duck out for a while. Duck no pun intended.. lol.

A freind of mine once had never seen a turkey, He live in the city and I brought him up to my place for a bit, we were on this trail in the game lands, and he said "whats that a ostrich?'' was funny, Cause a bird can tall looking with its head and neck fully extended. lol. I said "no thats a turkey" he was amazed.
They are very bright birds with excellent eye sight, and remember like most game when its hunting time. The native americans respect the turkey as much as the eagle. as will do I, very intelligent bird it is.
Our area was designated safe, but since the birds population increased thats changed, it changes every couple years. But I scan the rule book for hunting since it dont change much.
We didnt get a bird till mid week this year, as always... Your not allowed to stalk a Tom in the spring, you must call it..
funny story> one year my good freind and I are out opening day. Decoys placed. Were calling.. "Peckin.. scratch.. Glass/Shale call. nothing happening.. repeat. nothing.
We hear a tom coming up the hill(gobble) my man pulls out a tom call(not really legal)gobbles..gobbles to get the bird coming more aggesive. Then we see this dude walking about 100 yards away. We then lit up a bowl and puffed in our spot.. We are completle camoflauged with a Orange flag posted.. Were stoned now so we call the bird some more with the glass call.. Nothing. So we said fuck it were gona move.
Without putting on a peice of orange we move.. Here comes that dude. GAME Warden.
Damn it, and we got some Points for moving without orange. But funny was I had the flag in my hand and joked "dont this flag cover it?" He laughed, Nice try, I know this dude was keeping a eye on us, But he must be a ninja cause he came out of the woods from nowheres. But we were stoned. lol.

 

wild turkeys are not smart at all in ontario. i have literally nicked one with a car on the road, and when i got out to chase it down for dinner (it was wounded decently), it managed to run off the edge of a 15ft drop without even attempting to fly.

suffice to say, we ate it for dinner.

 

Ive had toms peck on my slidding glass doors cause of reflections. But the dog chases them, and since Ive had this dog, Nothing has been in the fence line for a long time.
Yeah they can be stupid too, Kinda like people> Turkeys get drunk cause they eat berrys and it ferments in their bellies? Least thats what a freinds dad told me many years ago..
