Stouts are usually my favourite, but I can enjoy most types of beer (as long as they're not fruity or too sweet).
maybe it's just cuz i've leaved close to mexico my whole life, but i love pacifico with lime. especially when accompanied by delicious tex-mex or chips & queso. i wouldn't say i like sweet beers, but i wouldn't consider newport too sweet.
Newport is too sweet Yeah, I don't particularly like Mexi-beers, other than maybe Negra Modeno, and Tecate once in a while. I don't really like Tex-Mex that much either though.
that's because the only good tex mex is in san antonio mexican beers get my seal of approval because they're cost-effective. modelo beers are definitely pretty decent. i love and hate being a poor student.

If you like Pacifico you should try Caribe from Trinidad too. Not a fan of Negro Modelo, mainly because that what I was drinking while eating a bad burrito in Tijuana. Btw don't eat burritos in Tijuana.
My lady, have you ever been to Santiagos in Denver? I go for the Dos Equis Amber, the good ol' Black Model just doesn't sit with me.
I love Negra modelo, but Id pick Carta Blanca. Get the Caguama (40 ouncer) and stick it in the freezer for about 30 minutes.. yummm.. Im a Miller Genuine Draft girl, and real mexican is the only way to go.
