(I had to keep letting it grow over for jobs and stuff)

terrible idea. Go to a professional shop. When I was a new teenager I thought it would be so cool to pierce my belly button. I iced it and used a sewing needle. I didn't pierce deep enough and it grew out and it was pretty stupid. Proessional piercing needles are hollow so they take a chunk out of your skin so the ring can fit through. Any other needle just pushes the skin. It's not the best idea. Piercers even say that an earring gun is a bad idea because it is still basically a blunt object being pushed through your skin and it is not as sanitary as getting it done in a shop.

I am sure many people have safety pin piercngs. My personal suggestion is to leave it to a professional.
