Hello, welcome on board . Well, I still have to work for two months before I can get out of my employment contract. But I have lots of holidays left from last year and the first half of this year, so I'm out in two or three weeks. Regards Gyro
Hello, I will start with the bottle of red wine next to me . Then I will get health insurance and then the plan is to do nothing and just watch the days go by until it gets boring. After that I get out my list of things I want to explore and to learn. I gave me at least half a year to slack and at most one and a half year. If some interesting project or job comes along during this time I might abort the experiment and join the work force again. We'll see. Regards Gyro
Hello, yepp, I had. But the future is bright . Well, I didn't earn the really big bucks, but compared to a lot of other people I had a good life. I deal mostly with luxury problems here... Regards Gyro
I've heard it in the academic setting. And also, sort of this situation:- The other person - "Resso, I haven't seen your friend Mike for a while". Me - "Oh he's on a sabbatical". The other person "You mean, he's locked up". Me - "Well not technically.. ..its an open prison" BTW, yes I do consider sabbaticals, probably for a couple of months or so, to do a creative pursuit, outside of business. Or some travel related pursuit.
Rt people=the most sane. That's a first. A sabbatical from where? What? Um... in a general sense I have taken many of them from many things.
Gooood morning if everybody would be so sane as we are, the world would be a better place. Or dead . From the rat race. Regards Gyro
Last one i had was when i broke my leg. Next one is yet to be planned. Edit: wow i almost forgot the great layoff of 08. It was a bit of work filling out that unemployment sheet once every two weeks though
Hello, nothing hinders you from breaking your leg again. I guess it's easier the second and third time . I don't plan to do so. Regards Gyro
I would think it would be harder the second time being there is a metal plate there now. I meant no sabbaticals planned though. Who the hell would plan on breaking a leg
Hello, I've heard about a master craftsman, who cut off his hand with a circular saw. He thought it may look like an accident and his insurance would pay for it. Unfortunately the insurance company looked at the angles of the arm and the cut and they came to the conclusion that the only way to cut off a hand with this angles is to do it intentionally. So he lost his hand and the money. Regards Gyro
Damn that will teach him...always remember kids, hire someone to be a distraction so it will look like a natural accident...also helps to have someone with fingers to call 911.
