the opening act they chose was a very odd choice when I saw them. They chose this band Cold to open for them and they wore masks like Slipknot and sounded like Sevendust or Chevelle kind of that Nu Metal sound, it was strange preceding Weezer.

I'm not even really sure how much say these bands have over their opening acts...

from what i read at ticketmaster, it doesn't look like there is going to be ANY opening band. i find that hard to believe, but like 3 people mentioned it. a lot of people also said that they played a short show - like an hour and a half

When i lived in Seattle in 05 there was Freak Night on halloween. It was in a HUGE garage at the Seahawk stadium. Paul Oakenfold, The Crystal Method and others i can't remember were there. Waiting in a huge line just to get in people were walking back and forth whispering drugs to anyone that wanted. I know shrooms, acid and weed were there. It was a lot of fun. My legs the next day were tired as hell from the subs banging all night long.

LMAO!! I think I was at that, too. It was a United State of Consciousness thing. Drugs everywhere. Mostly ravers. My girlfriend and I had a vendor booth of body jewelry, and our friends were jumping motorcycles and doing tricks. I stayed high as fuck all night.

edit: WAIT!! I was at the one in 2004 with the motorcycle jumpers and stuff, but USC puts on a freak night every year, and I've been to 3 of them. They sorta run together.... :d

They're still doing them. I haven't been since 2004, but I have heard they haven't lost any steam.

Without Brad its not Sublime, no matter what the band, without the original members its just not the same band. Although I made an exception for Alice In Chains its still not the same really.

Well vocalists in particular. Tool has done pretty well without their original bassist and the Red hot chili peppers have done well without the original guitarist. Drummers get replaced often. ( Thinks of the movie spinal tap)
