I look like my dad for the most part. Same hair and eye color, same skin tone. but I have my mom's short height and high cheek bones. (ha...that's kind of funny) But people who see me and my mom together often don't think we're related because my mom looks Native American and I have pale skin, brown (some have said auburn) hair, and blue eyes.
As for personality...I'm a lot like my dad and my paternal grandmother.

I'm not really that emotionally close to either of my parents. I used to be really close to my paternal grandmother, but I've changed a lot and she doesn't really know the real me now.

I'm very interested in my family's history and take great pride in it. My mother and I have been working on the family tree for years. I've been working on my dad's side of the tree and I've found that side is mainly German and Irish. There's probably French too, but I am stuck on the line I think is French. I also traced that line back to a few people who came over on the mayflower...can't remember all of their names, but I know one was John Alden. I've also traced that side back to royalty. I'm also related to Lizzie Borden and Laura Ingalls Wilder on that side. Its a crazy family tree! lol! So I'm working on a book for my family about our heritage.
My mom's side of the family has been in the US for generations. Florida Pioneers, they were. We haven't actually gotten back to the old country on that side. We assume there's a lot of Irish on that side. And there are all these rumors about Native American blood, but we have no proof. But my mom is mistaken for Native American even by Native Americans. She goes to the Seminole Reservation's smoke shop and people have thought she was Native American when she was there.
But all in all...I'm a typical American mutt. But I'm proud of it. :D

Im closest to my mothers side. I look like my grandmother - who was 1/2 Irish, my grandfather I believe came from an English back ground. On my mothers side of the family everyone looks like everyone else as we have some prominent family features, hooked noses, lazy eyes and crooked smiles. I inherited all 3 of these (the eye thankfully is fixed!).

i'm a lot more like my dad physically, i inherited the body type from his side of the family. slim and angular, except i expect my arse to get bigger as time goes on. i mixed my mom and dad's facial features fairly evenly so i look like both of them, but i have more my dad's eyes, nose and face shape. i'm emotionally attached to both of them, even though i live with my mom so i'm a bit closer to her. my dad and i have an incredibly strong bond however, considering how much we see each other. we have the ability to create amazing things together, we just think along the same lines.

i don't know too much about my family history, but i'm curious about it. i'll have to do some research and get back to you. all i know is at one point they were part of the black irish and a lot of crazy shit happened.

i've never felt the kind of emotional attatchment to my parrents a child is supposedly supposed to. i guess that's
why i never hated them either.

i love the idea of cuddling and i love the idea of everyone
being happy but i don't love the idea of emotional
attatchments. somehow i suspect that's a little wierd
because most people seem like the're lost without them
but i've never felt that way at all.

as long as i've got someplace to sleep and eat and know my
way back there and the key to get back in is in my pocket
    i'm fine.

my soul really isn't human and this world has never felt like 'home'

i truely believe my REAL 'roots' are elswhere in this universe.

as for this body i walk arround in, i really have a hard time remembering what my own face looks like.

i think most of my countinance resemble my mom's side of the family while my pilage resembles my dad's

but i really couldn't say for sure
having never knowingly met anyone from my dad's side
    other then himself.

i care about my wife and about my mom
and about other people i have known well
    and felt 'close' to

but it's not a matter of emotional need like if my natural
inclination was toward gregariousness like that of the
human species is supposedly credited to be.

home is where no one WANTS to cause harm
and where no one wants to cause harm and studys how to
avoid doing so, that is what is real paradise.

(aggressiveness sucks, and most humans have too much of it)

    =^^=

Well, physicaly I look like my dad. He used to have curls too, now he has white hair that he paints black... I'm much closer to him than with my mom, I can't share anything with her. I can share my love for music with my dad, so thats neat. But there both EXTREEMLY overprotecting, (especially my dad) that is really annoying!!! And we argue about that very often, and about my clothes...

I don't know where my dads family came from. My uncle is trying to find out. But it seems like we've lived in Belgium forever. But we don't really have a Belgian name (souffreau). Maybe French or something...
My mom's grandfather was English, and I think we have some people in our family that are Dutch. I don't know, I'm going to ask my parents though. Someday...

physically, i am more of my fathers family. i look more like his brother more than anythign else. i am split with the emotionality with my parents.

    my fathers side:
-his mother's family came from Ireland and traveled to Newfoundland and then down to Boston. don't konw the time frame
-his father's side came from Ireland and just went to Boston.
thats the jist of it...i have more info somewhere in my house.

    my mother's side:
-all i know is that they have family that came from Ireland, Wales and have some Native American in the mix also. I don't know the tribe, but was located in New England somewhere. i dont' really know any more than that.

I look a lot like my moms father. I had a picture of him in a world war 2 uniform and almost everyone who saw it thought it was me in costume.

    Moms family-Irish, a little dutch I guess

    Dads-Russian Jewish..

I really feel like I am a mix between the two families, neither as laid back as my moms family or as social and talkative (gossipy) as my Dads.

My parents just went to Ireland and met a bunch of our relatives...turns out 2 of them were in prison for operating an IRA safehouse...I didn't feel that was something to be proud of.
