i definately agree on the dmb fans really sucking, i must say that was the worst part of 'roo last year was trying to sit and chill out after a long day of hot sun and listen to dave, but only to be harassed by drunk college kids hollering back and forth and stepping on me... hmm doubt if i'll waste my time with dave this year, i'm sure someone much better will play during that time slot...

why is everybody making a big fuss because 'they finally are diversifying the line up?" its been diverse every year look at 2002 they had jurassic 5, les claypool, cut chemist, blackilicious, drums and tuba 2003 had james brown, the roots, the flaming lips, my morning jacket, sonic youth 2004 brought around yo la tango, daner mouse, kings of leon, gomez, grandaddy...

I don't know about what you guys think but to me, none of these guys are jam bands

OK! What the hell are they doing??? Do they not remember WoodStock 99' you can't expect to have that kind of music POP, HARD ROCK or otherwise at place and it not turn chaotic!!! Why do people have to go and ruin something so perfect for more money? I live about 30 min from the farm where it is held and I know that if they do that to many people will show up there wont be enough room or food or toilets and the prices will be more and it will be hell all over again in TN!!! This really ( CHAPS MY ASS!!!!) Its gonna get to the point where there wont be anymore festivals that are laid back and at least a little afordable because people keep wanting to make things BIGGER! and BETTER! Why can't people just leave things alone a let us Hippies have one thing! Thats ours thats all! Is that to much to ask??? You mark my words and see if what I'm sayen don't happen......

Well does'nt it make you mad though? I mean people like us and others work so hard to find something and have a little piece of what we (as in the younger hippies) missed in the 60's and usually when a festival comes along you can go MAYBE 3 times and then they want to change it in some way. They had on the news last Summer that this Summer either will or might be the last one they have in TN because they need more space! All that means is that they want more room so they can make more money!!! Fuckin Capitalist... I know I might be over reacting but I see this to often...

I have always *kind of* wanted to go to Bonnaroo, but I always end up talking myself out of it. It's not far away from me, but I just cannot bring myself to go. I go to Schwagstocks and other festivals. Festivals that really are all about the music.

To those of you who have nothing better to do than bash the roo', move on, take a look at yourself and realize how lame yall sound. Seriously, just because it is changing a bit doesn't mean yall need to bitch about it, personally I don't think the average person on these forums cares to hear it so just drop it. Go to your really cool "hippy" festivals with no "custies" or whatever and shut the fuck up.

P.S- If yall look at yourselves you sound no better than frat/soroity kids who like to keep everyone that is not like them out of their "events"

Well put my friend, well put. I went last year and came to realize that bonnaroo is very different than other festivals. As much as we all want bonnaroo to be like other festivals (one long badass jam session!) , there are just as many non-jam bands who strive to give us all the same feeling, a JOINT sence of happieness and peace of mind. There was to much negitivity floating around last year mostly because there were too many people who came to raise hell and look cool to themselves. My advise to all of you is, if you come to bonnaroo come with an idea of the bands you wish to hear and block the others out. And for the love of everything holy be kind and respectful to one another, and remember if you arent coming for the music dont come at all, we'll all have a better time.

Look I'm not bashing the festival! If anything I'm saying leave it alone or if you want to make it better make it more excessable to everyone! The way it is now or was whatever you want to say is fine. All I'm saing is if they change it based on money and what is popular to them and ther bank accounts rather then what is good for the people than it's gonna blow and it will...............!!!!

How perceptive of you. If there is anything else that is completely obvious to the world that you would like to point out fill free to sit on your hands and not waste your time in typing it. That was not the agrument that I was making.

And honey, if it wasn't for capitalism you wouldn't have all the great things you have today. People have to make money. Wake up to the real world and get a job.

haha mad scientist is a dork people don't HAVE to make money, they just think they do

I think the biggest problem with bonnaroo is that being a hippy is now becoming a popular fad (just as it was in the 60's) and anyone who is busy being a hippie should take a step back and just be

and remember different people have different agenda's and plans and they probably won't so closely resemble yours, so let them be

heady, I think the bands they've booked so far are staying within a reasonable distance of the vibe many of us will be seeking at the roo. this'll be my first year going to bonnaroo and I intend to have a good time come hell or high water (and from what I've heard about past roos, high water is a realistic possibility) thing is, you get enough heads vibing all peaceful and watching out for each other, everything should still be cool
