RIP Sen.Byrd

    What you see in Sen. Byrd was only the tip of the iceberg. Most white politicians in the South felt the same as he did, but kept it "under their belt" after the Civil Rights movement became popular. Even with people I disagree, I appreciate honesty.


    No, I didn't. Although I think he did have some changes in his thinking, his actions had long before disqualified him as presidential material.


    Maybe you don't realize just how popular racism used to be in the South. It wasn't just an opinion as it is today, it was a "way of life."
