write the constitution FIRST! if you just overthrow something because it's crap, you'll just end up with worse crap unless you've already figgured out what to replace it with and how to do so.

(ignorance is only bliss untill it bites you in the ass, which sooner or later it always does!)

I agree. Here's the problem. Power always ends up in a few hands and we get screwed. It all starts in high school (or sooner) when people start electing Homecoming Queens and Class Presidents and football team quarterbacks or people they think are cool or talented or whatever. Solution? Kids should revolt against all this crap and not recognize some persons as "deserving" more than others but they don't know any better and neither do their parents. Just call me a radical.

  4. I've been thinking lately. I used to think everyone was capable of the intellectual standards required to transcend the petty barriers of society. When i look at westerners and sport, television, entertainment, homecoming queens, cars, the same fucking clothes...are humans naturally petty? Are the majority simply still cavemen with a need for some primitive unified worship of the deities of materialism, celebriticism (a word i just made up) and religion. Are the cynical intellectuals right? Is it only just a special few who can "wake up" and look around and as a result fall into misery when they see the absolute stupdity around them...or was ghandi right?..can everyone manifest the same strength of spirit and mind with a little faith. Can we help them out?

It's called the Iron Law of Oligarchy. It was developed by Robert Michels, a sociologist:

The answers in my opinion are (1) yes (easterners included) (2) yes and (3) maybe in special circumstances (4) maybe through education but not necessarily.

Most people are not too sharp, not too motivated most of the time and FAR too susceptible to celebrity worship as you point out.

  7. I'm thinking more along an anthropological line.

Concious social beings with natural tribal tendencies + Mass unified culture, globalisation, modern technology and disconnection from nature = Mass primal hysteria with little hope of awakening.

The funny thing is, Bush never won presidency in the first place! Here's a letter by a democrat (I know, it seems that a democrat would probably make this up) showing that Al Gore did, in fact, win the 2000 election:

    Volusia County, Florida:
John Ellis, hired as an analyst for Fox TV News, knew exactly
the margin needed to call the 2000 presidential race for George W.
Bush. He was privy to the Voter News Service data, and he spoke
several times during the evening to his two cousins: Jeb and George
    W. Bush.
At 2:09 a.m., the required vote margin appeared from Volusia
County, Florida. At 2:10 a.m., this margin was enhanced by a 4,000-
vote bump in Brevard County, and at 2:16 a.m., Ellis called the race
for George W. Bush. Within four minutes, NBC, CBS and ABC
    followed suit. 5
Precisely the right margin appeared on a Volusia County machine
(Global Election Systems, now Diebold), amplified by a Diebold/
Global Election Systems machine in Brevard County. Unfortunately,
these vote totals were incorrect and soon disappeared, along with a
“card no. 3” which helped to create them.
If Al Gore had publicly conceded on election night, would we ever
have learned that these votes were bogus? Would there have been a
recount, and could the “Help America Vote Act” have passed, triggering
    the rush to touch-screen machines?
We’ll never know, but thanks to an internal CBS report and a memo
written by Talbot Iredale, vice president of research and development
at Diebold Election Systems, we now know that the unexplained
replacement of a set of votes on a Diebold optical-scan machine in Volusia
County triggered a premature private concession from Al Gore to George
    W. Bush and resulted in TV networks’ erroneously calling the election
for Bush instead of deeming it too close to call. The final “offical”
tally showed Gore losing by 527 votes, though the hand recount stopped
by the Supreme Court later gave the election to Gore.
Fox News Network, 29 November 2000: Brit Hume, host: “ ... It seems a
broken computer modem and a faulty memory card were culprits in the
erroneous election-night call of George W. Bush as the Florida winner ...
computers with a bad memory card caused it to appear for a time that Al
Gore had lost more than 16,000 votes, which seemed to put George W.
Bush up by 50,000 — at that stage in the night, an insurmountable margin.
Every network saw that as a basis for calling the state for Mr. Bush. ... ”

but we cant have a violent revolution either, cuz violence isnt good, so we need a peacefull revolution. with no killin and no hurting, just love.

What is your plan for a peaceful revolution though? Can it be achieved in this fascist theocracy or will it all come tumbling down on us. We need a meeting of the minds. We need groups to pop up on local levels and communicate with the other groups. Get those who want a revolution together to talk about it, brainstorm ideas in a personal setting. Remeber you can kill the revolutionary but you cannot kill the revolution.

huhm..maybe we could just go outside and sit in the sun...and if it gets cold, walk south...

oh wait..no, i think we should be pirates instead...

hey wanna try out your ideas? come to Puerto Rico and push for its independence from the US. and be apart of a new forming country? or at the least get out from under the thumb of the federal gov. fed laws still apply but are rarely enforced

but Americas founding fathers belived in revolution and even though that a revoloution every once inawhile is good for a country.

but i dont think the united states is anywhere near that point now. maybe 10 or so years ago. with the waco and ruby ridge murders the goverment committed.stuopid laws like the crime bill that banned weapons on what they looked like rather than the capabilities. in some circles the people were much closer to revolting then than they are now.

and most of those unhappy citizens were gun owners. people with the means and knowhow to fight a revolt.

how many of the hippy peacenicks here would be willing to fight and die for a revolution? i doubt you would find many.
