The last revolution i think they used guns matter of fact just about every revolution guns are used if you plan to win .
Vive le revolucion! I'd support a revolution. Hell, I'd even front one. Canada should have one too. All of North America should just revolt against our gov'ts. Then what?? Communism? WHAT THEN PEOPLE!
I understand the concept of revolution. But think again. this is not a concept to be tossed around as in for fun. Not that Im saying anyone on here is doing that. Please dont be offended. You have to be able to let the commen man understand this would be a worthy cause to put his life on the line for. Revolution is a big step. Sure none of us like the way our country is run, but then again do we have a better way to do it? No Im not one to sit around idly throwing the concept of massive government reconstrution lightly. Then again I dont take lightly to letting the government commit atrocities or take our civil librities away. Is this our "free" state so bad in what it is? Sure crime is up, poverty is up, and the job market isent as good as it should be. Thats been happening for centuries. I dont wish to make excuses for big brother. And I wont...but to reforme our society we have to start with the people and then the goverment. If we wish something to change, then we should start it ourselves, and not blame it all on big brother, the government will only get away with what we allow them too.
honestly, I don't know enough about the government to say whether or not it's time for a revolution, or anything. Personally, I want something like in the very ancient cities, and countries, where laws only really applied to certain cities, or counties. I would love to roam an undeveloped countryside with a horse, and just getting to see everything, without every single thing I enjoy doing being illegal. Not like murder, I mean...damn....but yea. Not sure what kind of revolution could get it back to something even similar to that, but, whatever
yep, you said it better than i could. Lets stop getting so antsy about the government, cool our heads down and start acting on our own behalf.
The key phrase here is "without every single thing I enjoy doing being illegal". He is exactly right and that is exactly how far our freedoms have gone: right down the drain. Everybody I know that comes here from other countries say that they had more freedom where they came from than they do here. What a pitiful situation. I do know a lot about the govt., and happyonehit420 isn't kidding. How can we be patriotic about a government that takes so many of our freedoms away that the average citizen feels like they can't do anything without it being illegal? The only problem with this whole revolution thing is that a large # of people have to support it, and Americans have become some of the most apathetic people on the face of the earth. I don't talk to hardly anybody that gives a rat's ass about anything anymore. People have accepted the fact that so many of their freedoms have been taken away that they're used to it, they've been co-opted, and they just don't give a shit. Sure, lets have a revolution. With what? 10 people? Rotsa ruck.
In what other time can you think of, would people accept the Patriot Act? A law that gives the gov't the right to come in your house, fuck up your shit, and follow you and record you if they feel like it? come on. Terrorism is just another mind fuck to put the populas in fear. North America has turned SO apathetic. I find the new generation, Generation X, IS concerned, but unsure. How can we affect any change if the Baby boomers are still kicking and happy as pigs in shit with the way things are. And how can we change anything with the choices of gov't we have? None fully represent us. I honestly see a revolution coming. And I would support it. As long as it had the right reasons behind it. Which is why I say I should lead it, because I rock. I can make the common folk angry, passionate. I can speak to them in laymen's terms about how the gov't is fucking us over, hardcore. So vote me Revolution Leader. Plus I'm hot which is always a plus in winning over the men folk.
You say you want a revolution. Well, you know at least you care. You ask me what is my opinion. Well, you know I'm just pull'n out my hair! Cause if you go ask'n me about Marx and Lenin, all I can tell you is we're not goin through all that again? But dont you know it's gonna be alright? Alright!
Gandhi did not use guns! His oppressors used guns and violence to obtain their ends, but Gandhi did not. Gandhi stood for nonviolence, and love above all. And considering that Indians rule themselves right now, I would have to say that Gandhi's method worked.
The reason Gandi got his way = England was left broke and exousted from WW2 plus it would had look moraly wrong after fighting Hitler for them to still opress another country. Had WW2 never broke out Gandi could had hang it up.
Important to realise too that much which Ghandi stood for has long been buried with him by the centralised Indian state apartus. For his advocacy of non-violence, the Indian state boasts the fourth largest military int he world and hasn't balked at using it to quell dissent amongst its own. Also too, note that whilst much is reported in the mainstream about India's increasing wealth, nearly half (if not more) of its population live in abject poverty, barely, if at all, able to feed themselves. Ghandi was a champion of the rights of of the common folk, i.e. the villagers, and thus could be called an early 20th century champion of decentralised government. Sadly India is a highly centralised and authoritarian society. The aims of a revolution last only so long as those who would pervert its successes for their own monopolistic gains can be marginalised by an actively vigilant majority. Our own majority in the West is so mentally complacent and diverted by inane sanitised misinformation and so absorbed with their own daily routines that it will take a significant collapse of the present order for them to even awaken to the fact that we've been on the wrong course for generations.
what class am i? earlier someone sed sumthing bout worker class and middle class. so this is me: i live in a family dad works factory mum works in shop, err council house and havent got car, so does that make me worker class?
Only if they could gain control of the Pentagon and secure the cooperation of the armed forces. If not, theyll be on the wrong end of some devastating high-tech reprisals.

working class does not having financial means to have things like a car. middle class is small if at all real. its just a false class set up to make the people that didnt want to be working class feel better... on up that ladder. its working or ruling. now the population now may want a revolution... but the people are fed information ... like shit news and such.... so they dont know how to do it. they are all taught to be self centered and if they are content with their living situation they will not revolt for others. its definitely not that they dont want it and that everyone is comfortable. where do you live?
I am sorry if my English is bad Iit is my second language. I really enjoy this forum and hug you all. I think revolution has been happening for a long time but we are impatient. Sometimes we move way back too. I don t believe we have a democracy for this reason. The institutions that shape peoples thinking are firmly in the hands of the privileged class. Just look how headlines influence people. The printing of polls 47% this and 62% that. That influences public opinion not yours or mine but many. Look how people vote. If they think someone has no chance of winning they would not consider voting for that candidate and usually wont even look at the platform. New ideas are very slow in passing. Shaping of opinion, all those who want to have an impact on the system and the future need to get much much better at shaping public opinion. The media and institutions like the CIA and some think tanks will hire psychologists sociologists and what not to study and find ways to make people think in one way or another. So it was time to make war on someone and so they brought this hype about WMD and worked it just right. The way all this works together to make a solid hard to shake structure of shaping world public opinion. So they got key words, democracy communism totalitarianisms. Human rights. Terrorists ,Saddam Husein, And they mix it with other keywords from different sets. All these make great formats for entering the human mind. Islam weopens of mass destruction. And they make people feel good by putting on these grotesque wars and showing it on directly on tv like they are firmly in control of the situation. Something that goes into our brain when we hear words like security stability balance of power. Insecurities, see people don t like change they are afraid. If they feel their way of life (keyword) is defended by something so strong than it must be right. So our job is to replace some keywords mostly add a bunch and keep it looping in many different rhythms and grooves. We got to jazz and hip hop it we got to chant it and scream it make it attractive and make it fun. No body is going to follow you if all you want to talk about is the end of the world. If you get edgy about a point back off in discussions and try to find a bridge rather than make a fence so high with us and them on the other side. Define who is we and who is them and try to get the point across that most of us are the we and we should get together and we can change the world and yeah there are better grooves. We must understand the power of suggestion. And the power of a smile and the importance of what must be said. Be humble and courageous rather than be an opportunist trying to always see where the wind is blowing. Try to understand people all over the world not only in the us try to see why simple cartoons can set off such an explosion of passion. Always say in my opinion. Engage non violent but strong actions. Use theatre, songs , colourful events for peace songs, poetry nights for justice. Writing contests for social issues. Many many good ideas ,do some discuss some get others to do some. It feels so good to take a garbage bag and jump in somewhere and clean up a piece of earth get people involved in something they can feel good about. I believe the arts and the culture by a deeply authentic grassroots music and media revolution is way do. Then take some big issues I say one is the fact that there is such a great number of poor oppressed exploited citizens all over the world and a handful of mega rich monsters (maybe not on an individual level because you can be born into that karma) So the very nature of capitalism and greed the unlimited right to private property is the most absent debate in all our forums and in society at large. It is a taboo like pornography. You don t talk about it. I propose we have one big m... campaign about regulating private property starting with maximum salary proposals inheritance laws and whatever it takes for the ultra rich to keep handing it down to a few. Then we must talk of what all this wealth redistributed back into humanity could achieve phenomenal realities for the great benefit and happiness of humanity. Clean up the environment stop the destruction of it. Using new scientific methods of building. I wish all the petroleum left in the world rather being used to burn in combustion engines would be used to manufacture building supply s for the present and future needs of humanity. So me I write play music for the revolution.
