Of course we need good public education, but we simply can't do that or anyting else effectively with the current power structure in place. It's like trying to fell a tree by hacking at leaves or kill a beast by cleaning up its crap. And that's exactly what they do; they just create a bunch of shit, knowing that poeple will endlessly try to clean it up, and never have time to get to the root, the heart of the problem.
100% true. This is what public education has been made to be. Let's make it what it should be, or better yet, let's bring back the tradition of knowledge passed down through generations. Although, with nearly everybody's knowledge limited by poor and deceiving education, good public education may need to be a step to that anyway.
