Saying "I don't accept Jesus", God won't FORCE himself on you. God doesn't force his love on us or demand our love to him, He let's you choose.
You're right, it's a gift. But remember: the gift of eternal life is only put in your possession if you reach out and accept it. God reaches out to everyone, holding the gift in His hands. But you yourself still have to stretch out your hand and take the gift.
it's exactly what it is though. Like a key hanging on a wall. The key is always there, but in order to get out of the room, you have to take the key and open the door. God put the key there and anyone can get out of the room if they want, but they still have to take the key to open the door.
going to church is a pleasure...so is prayer, and Christianity is not about following rules, it's all about relationships and love.
At least, that's what it is supposed to be. I've had a difficult time finding a church with this kind of attitude, though.
"Jesus died for you. Now you have to pay him back. You owe, big time." Spoke the priest. "There are no conditions to unconditional love." Spoke the man of the pathless path. "Jesus died for you! You will turn your back to him? You will deny his compassion?" Responded the Holy man. "There are no terms to compassion. It is born freely, it is given freely. It is not a matter of giving and recieving at all. It is pure expression, compassion knows no limits or boundaries, and such boundless potential can be found within the heart of every man and woman in all of history, the present and the future. Timeless. Compassion is expressed beyond time. Perhaps this is why you still feel the compassion of one man, Jesus, but do you not also feel the compassion from the countless others? Do you not feel the compassion within your own heart?"
nothing is free.nothing.everything we do has a cost or result.if it is a gift why do we have to live according to the gift.a gift is something thats given without expectation of repayment.to pay for this gift we have to give up our old loves ,thats the cost.if it was a gift we wouldnt have to change, there fore it is not free.we pay it back by leading a "christion" life.why shpould i give up my weed for a myth.there are websites that i can point out that have proven this, but i wont because that'd be cruel, people need faith ,even if that faith is based on a myth.and i dont have anything against people living worthwhile lives, even if it from their own perception
Jesus only ever suffered at the hands of man...... How long do you feel we need to ask for forgiveness for the sins of our ancestors?
God does force God's love upon us. Eventually it sinks in. You didn't choose life, or to learn of God, God brought this stuff to you. Of course, God creates the desire within you first, so dumbasses believe that they "choose" what they have.
Au contraire... Men brought it to you, even if it was still the Lord who gave it to them, it still comes from human to human. Even men wrote the bible. Where does it say that God creates our desire for Him?
God brought it to you using men. There is a difference between crediting a creation that does what it is designed to do and crediting the creator. If there is a desire in you, it was because it was created within you. Why do you need this to be written in some book? Do you consider books to be higher authority than wisdom?
explain any of the logic in your beliefs. Explain how you came to the conclusion that God does everything, implants all of our thoughts in our heads? This sounds like some stupid idea you came up with when you were high or something.
