so fuckin funny...yep....i was a child o' the 80's into the 90's. Born in 1979....unfortunately, i remember all of that.....thatks for the trip down memory road! No offense, but there are some people that have posted here, and there is no way IN HELL you guys remember most of this stuff.
gullah gullah island...a little after my time, but funny because i live in the HEART of gullah-geechee country
when i was young i want to be on that show legends of the hidden temple! I would get so annoyed when they chose unworthy kids to be on that show. The ones that couldn't put the freaking monkey together at the very end. ahaha
A nice list by the way! I liked it about ninja turtles coz here in russia we also had this cartoon and everyone was crazy about it even me though i'm a girl... i collected some cards with them...oh...memories...
Actually, some did. I forgot to mention that when the U.S. was invading Kuwait and Iraq, ABC broke into the regularly scheduled Saturday morning Bugs Bunny show right in the middle of a cartoon and did a show called "Saddam, the Bad Man' hosted by Peter Jennings. They had a bunch of kindergarteners on there picking their noses and saying that Saddam was a bad man and should go jail. That was one of the silliest stunts a major TV network ever pulled. .
shit, my sixth grade class wrote letters to the troops over there.....i was 11? We knew what was going on...
i had so many pogs, probably 1000s of them. and transformers were the shit to, feels like the 90s were an entire lifetime ago.
Does anyone remember Werszel Gummage? Thought I guess he was more 70/80s .....but still does anyone remember him? He used to scare the shit out of me!
I remember this being called skip it ? ? ? It was so lame, but so fun! I totally would do it for hours straight all the while trying to beat my previous total! HA
I was really young in the 90's hence i'm still only eighteen now, but I grew up just in time to remember the last half of it. I only remember half the stuff on your list. Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Me and all my mates still know all of the lyrics to that. Will Smith is one of the coolest geezers in the world, fuckin awesome. Goosebumps never really scared me, but I used to love watchin it, it was prangy. Kurt Cobain, legend, but I was too young to remeber his death. I've had (maybe being a bit closed minded) regarded the 90's as being a bit of a shit era, especially when compared to the 60's and 70s, but reading this has reminded me there were a lot of cool times growing up as a child in the 90s. Anyone else lost contact with their old best friends who from the 90s who you remeber having sleepovers with and have food fights and you would watch Home Alone and eat speggetti hoops. I wish I knew where he is now and what he's up to or maybe I shouldn't, lol. Anyway, good memories, thanks.
I lost contact with my best friend and then recently we found each other on...errr...facebook. We wrote a few emails to catch up but we are two totally different people now. Who would have thought that two best friends that in one summer collected every Jurrasic Park movie card could be so different now.
