I don't care so much if I'm waring a brand or not...i just hate it when they PUT THEIR NAME ON THE COTHES! Thats why I just shop at gap. They don't normaly put their name on teh cothes (except for the tag, but who looks at the tags eh?). That way I don't feel that I'm a walking ad.

Well,I can't deny I wear some brand names. I don't wear that clothing because of the brand names, though, but because I like the clothing itself. That's why I have brand clothing and non-brand clothing, I just buy what I think looks good. Unless if it's too expensive, because I'm not the kind of girl to spend huge amounts of money for one piece of clothing.

Hmmm. Is it still yours? Or do you share it with the Yamaha Corporation?

Im assuming when you say name brand your talking about clothes? Becaus Hellmans mayonaisse is a name brand and that is the ONLY mayo I ever buy LOL. But yeah if ur talkin about clothes. It really doesnt matter to me. I do happen to really really like adidas and wear a lot of it. Mostly just my shoes though. I happen to know they last foreva. And when there "SHOT" i just use them for my creek walkin shoes or my shit shoes. or even give them to my brother or cuz or my friend who have all the same size feet as me. 9 and a half in mens must run in my family or something haha

I really dont care for brandnames. not only are they overpriced, you bassically advertise for them. I prefer my band t shirts. i do spend actually quite alot of money on them, which im not too proud of them but im a slave to my musics XD. as for jeans, i just get the crappy 30 dollar bootcut flares from boolegger or something. they last for freaking ever, im still on my first pair from over 2 years ago : D

I don't care really much about brand names. But I usualy buy what's the cheapest and most comfortable, which ends up with non-brand stuff.

I'll only wear brand names as long as their name isn't displayed on the article of clothing.
Though, starting sometime this July I'll be living with two friends of mine and we all intend on attempting to make our own clothing!

i hate band tees. i hate cartoon tees. i hate tees with anything that is owned by anyone. but i'll still wear the clothes i bought for too much money back when i was stupid because i hate doing laundry. i like medium or large generic t-shirts and i don't see why anyone would want to wear anything else. sex appeal, i guess, but that's what generic white or black wifebeaters are for.

i used to care if you could see that i have a fast metabolism and that i am a female, and that i liked certain music or shows. but now i only care if my clothes are warm and comfortable. besides, it's cheaper just to say "i like the doors" than it is to buy a shirt with jim morrison's face on it.

I never paid attention to what was name brand or not, usually I wear tye-dye anyways, but any who I don’t think it’s possible to keep your money from brand name companies because I think they produce the other non-brand t-shirts too, but I am not sure…

I didnt even think of my tye dyes LOL How could I overlook them...I have so damn many of them. I really like tye dyes but it seems they fade to easy so I have been known to buy the Liquid Blue GD tye dyes a lot in the past. Got one for xmas YEAH so that was great. I do however like to wear ADIDAS they last foreva. Whether its shoes or sweatshirts they def. LAST. I dont really like to buy these pants called Apple Bottoms cause they run me like 80$ and up but I do happen to like the way they fit. I guess if they were cheaper I would buy them but NOT because they are named brand but because they fit me the best.

There is nothing inherently wrong with 'branding' despite what Naomi Klein would have you believe.

The only 'brand' things I have are a couple of pairs of jeans, because they're good quality, fit and suit my body shape well. Other than that I just have plain coloured or band t-shirts.

this got me thinking about just how much of what i wear is an advertisement... so i'm buying some cheap plain white tee shirts and donating the rest for people who have better things to worry about :).

    yay.

If that is you in your sig' i would consider dying those white T-shirts..

I think you would seriously feel like a nun otherwise.

I wont NOT buy somehting because its got a brand name onit, thats as bad as buying BECAUSE of its logo, but like on jeans or whatever, i'll Sharpie (tm, all rights reserved :p) over the name, or put dark tape over it. I really, really dislike when people wear shit thats got a huge logo on it.

I have lots of pairs of Levi's because I believe they are made well and last longer. Sort of an investment.

Tiny tags on clothes are okay, but anything bigger than that or in a place designed to make you a walking advertisement is a no-no for me. Also I believe it looks tacky, but more than anything I don't like revealing ANYTHING about myself to the general public (including what subculture I may or may not belong to, what music I like, etc etc). It's too personal IMO.

i'll wear things with brand names/logos on them only if i a)already own them, or b)got them secondhand/hand- me- (technically up, since they're coming from my younger sibs!)
