Refugees - What To Do?

risking death by paying smugglers ridiculous sums of money to chance being left in the back of a truck to die or drown in the sea is certainly not the actions of a lazy, apathetic people. These people are desperate.

 

a lot of them didn't know there's a possibility they would be thrown at the back of a truck/train car and suffocate to death. many thought Europe accepts immigrants unconditionally, provides them with housing, gives them food and a paycheck every month, a car and maybe some other commodities as well.

i've watched this play out since it began this year. one of my close friends was involved with the rescue operations in the Mediterranean. many of these people think they will come to Europe and that's it. end of story. that it's automatically a better life from that point on. they are not aware of the prejudice existing here, of possibility of being sent back (the EU sends back approximately 40%, give or take) and not getting accepted at all, they're not aware of encountering language difficulties, anything concerning a realistic approach to migrating to another country.

and yes, it is lazy when you just up and leave to ignorantly hope other people will take care of your life, instead of trying to fight for yourself where you are. you are your responsibility. it's easy to pay someone, board a boat bound for Europe, then sit in the camps and have other people provide you with food and shelter.

yes, it's also easy for me to speak because i was lucky to have been born at a time when whole Europe is at peace. but my ancestors fought for Europe, they fought for a better life for everyone here. and i would do it in a blink of an eye if Europe was ever threatened too. because i am a European and this is my home, my roots, and my history here. i wouldn't cowardly run across the ocean to expect other people to hand it all out to me for free.

 

well my ancestors got the hell out of dodge and came to America...so there's that lol.

Instead of attacking the messenger, how about you come up with sources and explanations that may prove these events incorrect? Or are you just being lazy?

it's a huge leap from muslim immigration to a ''muslim state within two-three decades''. that's never gonna happen. Europe won't let it happen.

Yes, the video is an obvious exaggeration so therefore completely irrelevant. Yeah, foolish to think there's any rational threat. I mean it's not like there are millions of Muslim refugees trying to enter Europe right now. It's not like they worship a barbaric text that calls for world domination and death to all who oppose them. It's not like they're already marching for sharia law and attacking cartoonists or anything.

how can you have war on terrorism when war itself is terrorism?

 

It's very simple.

Do you think it would be better if everybody retreated and Syria and Iraq and all people who live there fall into the hands of IS?

 

This is a tough one. Wars involving third world countries and superpowers don't always turn out well. Vietnam, Afghanistan with Russia, Afghanistan with America, Iraq ...I think it would be better if the Middle East solved this amongst themselves without the two biggest superpowers of the world manipulating the outcome.
