On the way to Manhattan, enjoying the good weather on the first full day of fall. Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY. Just over the border from CT. Crossing the Harlem River from the Bronx into the Harlem section of Manhattan. Twin and I arrived at Grand Central Station. Crossing East 42nd Street, looking east. Looking west from nearly the same spot. The spire is by Four Times Square.
Halloween came early for this guy! I'm still going to call it the Pan-Am Building. The Chrysler Building wanted in on the action. I don't tire of this shot. A leftover from the Angry Orchard? Hmmm!
The great news here? The Connecticut River finally seems to have some life to it again. Looking north to Suffield, CT (left) and Enfield (back right). You could walk across with tall rubber boots two weeks earlier. The Wahlbergers restaurant looks like it could open by Halloween. NW corner of Main and Union Streets by MGM Springfield casino.
Springfield and Holyoke, MA again. Saw one little nugget about Dr. Seuss and the MGM Springfield Casino which even I didn't know. The train shot was looking east down tracks which take you towards Worcester and eventually Boston's South Station. The Connecticut River was looking south coming back. It definitely helped with about 3.6 inches of rain in Hartford last week.
Approaching northbound train in central Connecticut, just before our early-ass 4:20 pm sunset. Also something with the P.F. Chang's horse and a wreath outside of WestFarms Mall.
The train picture is Berlin, CT looking south. Why the picture of a parking garage in Springfield, MA? Albeit 20 some years late, it's going to get knocked down. It's across from the MassMutual Center.
P.S. Snow sucks. We have 10, maybe 11 inches? I haven't been outside yet. Picture was at 11:15 AM EST. The first flakes reached Cromwell/Middletown, CT around 6:55 PM last evening.
Mystic...one who lives in New England wishing for snow would be on crack. Looks to be 10 inches minimum. It's now reminding me of my old place, back on February 26, 2007 (date on photo).
Looking at this morning fog picture. Opposite direction from today's snow pictures. It was 61 F as recently as Sunday afternoon. Yup!
