PHOTO CREDIT: Greg Polski Two recent drone shots of New Britain, CT, a.k.a. my home town. Picture #1 is the Hospital Of Central Connecticut, or simply N.B.G.H. The hill at the top center (on the horizon) is Higby Mountain, which covers parts of Middletown and Middlefield, CT. I presently stay at the very bottom of that today. (View is south-southeast) Looking east over CT Route 72 and the Beehive Bridge on Main Street. The open area to the right of the highway is the downtown CT Fastrak bus terminal. To left is Newbrite Plaza. The dull grayish hills in the back (horizon) is the Connecticut River Valley.
Two random pictures I took three years ago today, June 10, 2017... From Asylum Street in Hartford. The stone work on the left is the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch over Trinity Street. You all know the gold dome near that by now. Picture #2 was me getting onto US Route 1 North in Boston. I had just been on the Zakim Memorial Bridge above that. It carries I-93 and US Route 1, which exits it just afterwards on Exit 27.
Passing by The Hungry Rhino Tavern on CT Route 159 in Windsor Locks. The heavy rain hadn't fallen...yet.
