Picture #1 is the southwest corner of the XL Center. The Whalers played there until 1997. Portions of the building date back to about 1975.

 

We get the occasional "accordion" bus with CT Transit's CT Fastrak. As was spotted in downtown New Britain. The schedule is #101.

 

A bit delayed, due to reading a holiday weekend schedule wrong. Anyways...Hampden County, MA and THAT city. Again.

Looks like Massachusetts still has county sheriffs in some fashion? Maybe. Connecticut no longer does. This was near Union Station, a couple blocks up Liberty Street.


These interstate shields are WAY past their prime!

Yes, the first picture is today. Blame it on the milky color of the train window and the fact the sun was only close to breaking through.

 

The train window messed these pictures up. I didn't filter them either. As the train arriving in Berlin, CT shows, it was partly cloudy, but no fog at all. The narrow river is the Farmington River in Windsor, CT. The wide river is the Connecticut, going from Windsor Locks into Enfield. The top pic is when the Connecticut first comes into view after crossing the Hartford/Windsor town line.

Train window added a kind of filter that makes them look like olden day photos, but in colour

 

This was when I got back to Berlin, CT. Only clouds then were on the distant horizon. None overhead now at all.

 

Turns out there was a piece of protective plastic on the cell phone's camera lens. I'll see if it makes any difference later. Until then...

R&B singer Charlie Wilson is THE only act being advertised for MGM Springfield. Been that way for at least a month now.
