I'm always torn between the city person I've always been and wanting acres in the country. To be able to raise, grow, forage and hunt my own food would be amazing. Not sure I have the heart to forage for anything other than plants and simple invertebrates tho. Animals taste good but they're damn cute too :(

When deer destroy your garden enough times they stop being cute, however.

I could see that. Lots of animals can be nuisances. Then again so can a lot of people...

don't do it, it sucks. living in the country is cool when you're a kid and you can wander around in the woods by yourself and stuff, but as an adult there's no real benefit.

i do like living on the edge of the city, so access to nature is nearby.

Okay one more post.. : )
Beach last night where I slept under the stars.. See all the oyster catchers there.
The water feet one is my first time in a remote natural hot spring pool!
And the one about fishing etiquette.. Third bullet point about if you're solo.. Such a NZ thing to put on a sign, haha. Friendliest country ever.

Yeah! And that one was dry to sit on too. Dry and soft. Perfect riverbed seating.
