If you had asked me for my opinion, I would have told you that had you long hair, you would be a beauty as of the moon on the night of fullness. Not that I feel you to be of a magnitude any less than a waxing crescent, of course
For the record, I was paying Rainy a compliment, and am even astonished that I'm having to clarify my manner of speaking. Since when is telling somebody that you think they are beautiful yet would even more beautiful be were they to grow out his or her hair an offence? Understandably I was typing in near Victorian English and using antiquated Arabic metaphor but I didn't think it was so confounding?
RainyDayHype, you are a pretty young lady. I don't know how you will take that compliment - I know many people realize that our physical appearance is determined by so many factors that we can't take a whole lot of credit for our own physical appearance. I think there was a suggestion that you grow your hair long. Most people make that statement when the think that someone's hair is pretty and that they should display more of it. Also there was mention of your tatoos, I think that people say that to compliment your beauty by saying you don't need to add anything - which is true, but only if you are talking about physical beauty. The fact that you made no response leads me to feel that you are confident in yourself the way you are, and that you are expressing yourself just the way you are and not posting pics for attention - this is where I compliment you the most. I hope I made sense in my rambling.
If your body is a temple you may as well decorate the walls. :2thumbsup: EDIT: I think your hair is adorable just the way it is. Tattoos and hair are ways of physically expressing our personality. I love it. Do what makes you feel good. You are beautiful just the way you are. Even the suggestion that you would be more beautiful with longer hair is ridiculous.
Rainy love the shot, pretty lady. Mama inspired me to not only take a picture of our tree but recruit the kids tonight and put it up.
Model A shoehorn fully boxed (1 piece) Probably the only people who might get a kick out of this are Jo King and *yogi*. At the turkey run this weekend I had one frame builder tell me this is too hard to do, and one tell me it's impossible. There's too much deflection in those front ends I want to redesign it but keep it subtle. Excuse the messy tacks I made this in a 30 min frenzy out of some square tubing laying around. Not to spec just wanted to see if it can be done, and I think it turned out pretty fucking good.
And I agree with you. No suggestive poses. Innocent human form. And I agree that RainyDayHype is a pretty young lady. I'm just wondering how I would feel if I were a woman and did not feel that I had the "perfect" figure that the media make much of our society feel is the real true beauty. That goes for men too. My wife listens to country music and she and her friends are always talking about what they would like to do with some of those young male country singers. I'm to old to be concerned with my looks, but I know some of her friends' husbands get jealous when they hear it.(oh hell, maybe I do feel jealous too). Our outer appearance is determined by so many factors that we can't take the credit or blame for, yet we can feel a sense of pride or a sense of insecurity or even shame because of it.
I think insecurities are there for both genders and society has standards that are often almost unattainable. We all buy into it to a certain extent. Real beauty is accepting ourselves, flaws and all. We grow into who we are and when you can accept that in self, then a beauty shines through.
This thread should be renamed, "Bitch and Whine About Recent Photographs." If it's not people getting their panties in a wedge and insulting my friends, it's people arguing about Rainy's hair. Really people?? Get it together for fuck's sake. Moar pics, less butthurt plz. Cool pic, wcw.
Mama is right. Everyone has an opinion and they all differ even if slightly. Why not listen to an opinion and take it as an opinion, state your opinion back and leave it at that. An argument about opinions is an argument no one wins. I think the statements about Rainy's hair were meant as compliments, but guys, imagine a girl walking up to you and saying, "you have nice looking defined muscles, you should make them bigger".
Mama, thanks for the comment on my pic a little while ago. I left my "thanks" out of my earlier post by accident.
