It is not sure berserkers ate amanitas before battle. It is pretty sure the assassins order were not righteously called Hashashins because they smoked hash, but the association was made by their enemies to discredit them.

 

They were already living there. If anything, the warriors left their homeland to pillage and conquer around the time the 'men with crosses' were nearing (not primarily for that reason though).

Berserkers/vikings of course, that's what we were talking about before you made a movie quote. I didn't know you were quoting a movie btw. What assumption did I make exactly? That you ment what you wrote? My bad...

My point was simply to state that these assumptions about what they might have ingested and for what reason are not factual or even certain, just in case people think that it is verified info. Is that not a good point? Why you call me miss mary? It gives off the vibe you feel attacked or at least disgruntled a little.

 

jackels have been with us as long as there have been virtical power structures. so i don't see some claim of a gosh wow name as really saying or proving anything.
even if their is some basis to make such a claim. government sponsered professional hit people, don't have to swear some childish oath of blood to kill people.

So the Norse were less literate than the culture of the Hassassins, their history is more obscure. It it always the victors who write history anyway, no?

 

if you are not sure then why object. Wikipedia mentions the posibility of both yes they did and no they didnt it was a ruse pepetrated by their enimies. Given the nature of thi current happening I wiuld say they did.

 

what does your not seeing or taking oaths have to do with this. You take an oath when joining the armed forces of the unuited states. You should join them if you cant beat them nax. You would have something meaningful to contribute if you werent playing devils advocate.

 

I'm not objecting the possibility. Just wanted to point out that while it's often assumed that certain vikings or berserkers consumed amanitas before battle is a verified fact or that it comes from an authentic source it is not.
