My point is that a person can convince himself of anything, anything at all... but that is not the basis of anything.

It's like a Christian ignoring science in order to not convince himself that Jesus doesn't exist.

It's ignorance generated by fear, it's the same thing with mental disorders... you cannot ignore things just because you might convince yourself of them being true.

You must also trust yourself a little more than that...
