When I had my dreads done the loctician SMOTHERED and I mean SMOTHERED my hair in wax. For about 3 months I was continually using wax then I decided to stop using wax and started crocheting my loose hairs instead of using wax. The wax took two months to come out just by washing alone but what took all the wax out completely was bleaching my hair. Completely got rid of all the wax.

SE, I plan on doing my wax removal tomorrow night :) Thanks again for all your help. My plan is to use 30-40drops of essential oil (orange oil), a couple TBSP of lemon juice and some baking soda all mixed in some water. Apply generously to scalp and through the length of each dread. Put in a bun or something similar and most likely cover it with a shower cap. Wait 1/2 an hour. Then, pour 12 pots of boiling water over the length of my hair, soaking my hair in each pot between pourings. My husband got some gloves hoping they would help withstand the heat so he can scrub my hair in extremely hot water. Wish me luck!!

I won't get burned. My hubby and I did it the other night, we set up a fan to blow the steam away. I laid on my counter top with a towel rolled up at the edge of my sink under my head and draped the length of my hair into the sink. It worked out well and allowed us to perfect the system for the big project :)

Hey stalk, maybe if I use microfiber towels?? That would reduce the amount of lint transferred, no?

I'll get some pics. But it's just gonna be me & K and he's gonna be pouring boiling water, etc. I'll do my best - I know how people love my blog and shit.
