hahah!! They have dewaxing soap!!! Knottyboy http://www.knottyboy.com/shop/accessories_and_extras/bee_washed_pre_dreading_soap/
you have got to be kidding me... look at what i found in the description and I quote *Note – this bar is not strong enough to remove wax from dreadlocks.* :banghead::cuss::banghead::cuss: scam artists
When I had my dreads done the loctician SMOTHERED and I mean SMOTHERED my hair in wax. For about 3 months I was continually using wax then I decided to stop using wax and started crocheting my loose hairs instead of using wax. The wax took two months to come out just by washing alone but what took all the wax out completely was bleaching my hair. Completely got rid of all the wax.
If anything the bleach really helped my hair lock up nicely. I've got a pic on this forum http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?p=4642036#post4642036 Bit dark like but I love having bleach blonde dreads. Thanks for the welco,e message too on my profile... I don't know how to reply though!

Are they all fluffy? I love the fluffyness of new dreads. How about a mulitutde of colour in your hair?
ok so the deep cleanse and the wax removal have finaly been combined into 1 thnx drumminmamma hopefuly it'll be stickied too and hopefully ppl will read through the 5 pages of oghh how wonderful the deep cleanse is to get to the wax removal...lol
SE, I plan on doing my wax removal tomorrow night Thanks again for all your help. My plan is to use 30-40drops of essential oil (orange oil), a couple TBSP of lemon juice and some baking soda all mixed in some water. Apply generously to scalp and through the length of each dread. Put in a bun or something similar and most likely cover it with a shower cap. Wait 1/2 an hour. Then, pour 12 pots of boiling water over the length of my hair, soaking my hair in each pot between pourings. My husband got some gloves hoping they would help withstand the heat so he can scrub my hair in extremely hot water. Wish me luck!!
Old towels? My hair has so much lint and fuzz it in as it is from that f'n wax. I never touch my dreads with a towel.
sounds good you may have to do it a couple to few times but should see improvemnt from the start \be careful dont get burned
I won't get burned. My hubby and I did it the other night, we set up a fan to blow the steam away. I laid on my counter top with a towel rolled up at the edge of my sink under my head and draped the length of my hair into the sink. It worked out well and allowed us to perfect the system for the big project
if ppl only knew the crap u had to go through to get rid of that mess yas think anyone would ever use any ever again?
I'll get some pics. But it's just gonna be me & K and he's gonna be pouring boiling water, etc. I'll do my best - I know how people love my blog and shit.
