No SE...I havent used wax in months.....I think it was all out or seemed to be. My dreads are on the thin side, and I never used much of the wax, came out in a few hot hot hot showers. Also not to defend the producers of this stuff, but the DHQ wax comes out more so than the K-Boy, I have tried them both. Anyway..... I did they deep cleanse and my hair feels extremely dry.....and made me a little itchy. ??????????????????
Im freaking SE cause they ARE falling apart...but if that is what you guys say its suppose to do then I trust ya. I wont use as much tea-tree oil concidering mine are no where close to being as long or as much in mass as yours. Thanks for the advice guys!!!!!

overuse of teatree can dry your scalp, but alittle helps dandruff
its best to use just a lil biyt andexperiment with what strength works best for u

    dont freak
they should unravel especialy if u waxed onsce the wax is out the hair can move..movement ctreates knotes even the movement of unraveling is good its creating knots while it does it just needs time to really lock em up

evcerytime u find yourself frweaking out take a hour tomeditate instead
takinbgf a momment to feed your spiritual side will do more for your dreads then hundreds of hours of work will ever do

    Oops...
Just burnt my head. Nothing too bad.. silly me :)
Currently got the towel on.. Felt them untangle quite a but during the was but that's because it is the wax holding them all together.

    Mmm my hair smelllls gooooooood!!!

When I first tried this deep cleanse...it made my hair feel kind of icky.....like slimy. Thought maybe it could of been a trace amount of wax left. Well I tried it again last night...and made sure I rinsed , rinsed, rinsed. When it was dry ....still kinda slimy. Is this from the tea tree oil perhaps...since well it is oil???????????????

onlyu if u used entirely too much i have never ever had that experience
and i use more oil then i recommend to others
its either wax or lemmon juice or if u added aloe
    aloe will dry though
    did u add vinagar?

if u did straught deep cleanse the wax softened but diodnt come put entirely..keep at it till its clean did u use orange oilo? i would..and really hot water

teatree oil shouldnt do that unless its way way more then u need and if so it wioll also really dry out your scalp
10 drops in a 1/2 gallon to gallonis plenty..i might use up to 30 but i got alotta hair for you 5-10 is plenty

if u do have wax in thopugh u maybe just brought it to the surface without really eliminating it?

Just went to the shop and finally managed to get these "ingredients" in.

So I've just tried it and the the water was brownish just from the soak. Gross!

My Dreads have just become a year young and I think some of the wax (I know, I know) I used at the beginning is still in there, although, thankfully never had a smelly hair problem.

I'll post some pics of 'em once I'm done.

    Thanks for this concoction!

i never used wax so never noticed the breowness wax is really really really hard to get out..nearluy impossible ..but dirt i guess trappoed on the wax surfaces would be easier i supose thats why ppl get the brown gunk just alotta trapped dirt comming loose hopefully with aliyttle wax with it

generaly if your just a month in and used wax your probly best to comb it and start fresh wax free..thats the only guaranteed way to get it all out but once your fairly set in u have to take more extreme measurees
ofcourse it would be best if u never touched wax to hair at all, but till that stufdf is no longer pushed on ppl we'll have to deal with the aftermath thye best we can
and even after agressive removal theres been wax found years latyer
the reasson i love the deep cleanse has nothing to do with wax, it just eats up builtup dead skin and stuff and gets everythuing but trapped fuzz out

if u tried the deep cleanse without lemmon or aloe or vinagar then its absolutelky the wax oozing to the surface to resolidify
just to be 100% sure try it just baking soda nothing else (except hot hot water to liquify the wax) if u still feel slimy your slowly slowly getting it out and id recommend the orange oiul to help disolve itor a ton of soap and scrubbing to9 emusify it and grtity out
its not at all easy though\
if u used 1/4 of a tub of wax thats how much u have to remove lil sliminess at a time

dreadheadhq now recommnends ()(and its gross that this even worsks somewhat) u blowdry to melt it then squeze it out into a towel that wont leave behind fuzz
they admiot it buiolds up enough to wring oput if its hot enough to melt..eeek
(then they say wait a week and add more..lol)
thast should only work though if its exsessive like 1/2 hair 1/2 wax whic is about whast they recomend for 3 months

if u do try just baking soda and confirm it is wax then u may try a combo of things the blowdry mely squueeeze out the gunk into a towel then deep cleanse squueze out the slime ..and a super soapy intence scrub for hours kinda wash

i think it was boogahbah that helped ppl remove wax buy scrubbimng scrubbing scrubbing very agressivly for hours and hours and hours changing thye water and soap often
\and with 6-8 hours work it helped get alot out, but no way to be sure it got it all till u slice it open and look

not trying to scare u here thouhgh i doi think u can get it all out if u try hard
but i think most ppl will give up and settle for most being gone long b4 they get it all
its best to start withiouyt ever touyvchinmg it if u can
most ppl comming here come too late thoiugh and already are waxy..just do all u can to get as much out as u can and u shouldbe ok

Just gave this a go. Used baking soda, sea salt, orange oil, and tea tree. Got the dreads soaked good, let it sit for 1/2 an hour, rinsed then repeated. The colour didnt change much from the original slightly gray colour, but got a hint of brown in the rinse out. Since my hair has dried I can really feel the difference. They seem almost lighter and fluffier? I reckon i'll use this method maybe once everyone month or 2 on top of my normal once a week wash. Thanks guys

so, i started my dreads with wax, but then never used it after the initial backcombing day... and then i sorta jumped back and forth between KB shampoo bar and some store bought hempz stuff (SLS and all), now i'm using Dr. Bronners.... and i used the baking soda rinse once as well. i actually had ZERO gross rinse out. it was cloudy water for sure, but just cloudy, no color in there whatsoever...
thing is, my dreads are starting to get sorta... they don't smell BAD, but there's definately something there, and i don't really like it. is this a result of the Dr. Bronners? there's iron in the water at home too, i hope that's not going to cause problems! i've been using the unscented bar now exclusively for about a month.... but i blow dry each time too (have the problem of living in a climate where going outside to dry up in -45 degrees celcius is just not an option!)
i LOVED the Dr. Bronners when i first bought it, but if it's creating stinky residue than i don't want to use it, and that's gonna be a sad day, cuz i thought the stuff was awesome!!!
