I don't know if this has been said but since I've got 4A/4B hair I have a good bit of experience with DIY hair and what not. Baking soda clarifies. So does apple cider vinegar. That's why they get all the gunk out of your dreads. It's getting out oil, wax, dirt and everything. Giving you a nice fresh clean base. Just some information. Knowledge is power and all that jazz.
no clue what 4a/4b means lol but are u sure theyre strong enough to get rid od wax? maybe if its just a tiny amount.. the orange oil though seems to work well at least but thanx for the input
Yes I'm sure. Citrus oils work because of the high level of citric acid in them. And 4a/4b hair is hair like this: Basically really really really nappy.
ok really really nappy i understand u just gotta realize i never set foor in a salon or barber shop in my life so those other terms are pretty meanningless to me bet that hair starts to dread at 1/4 inch huh?
It can. I generally shampoo 2 days a week and then conditioner wash the other 5 days of the week. And I comb the conditioner through with a wide tooth comb. So it doesn't really dread up that easily. And I generally have only been in salons as a client. I had to do research to figure out what grade of hair I had and how to take care of it.
ZOMG! beautiful I am in love with your tatoo! :drool5:I have seen it on stickers, but on a person its beautiful
BeautifulWarrior.. Your tattoo... is incredible. I've never seen every letter done so elaboratedly beautiful.
THANK YOU!!!!! I think it's my favorite just because of what it stands for. And I get so many compliments on it.
knotty boy has a de-waxing soap usually used to completely clean your hair before dreading and to wash your hands after you have put their wax in... i put wax in my hair for a week and found it a gross waste of time... i just realized that the de-waxing soap will likely work as a good way to get that build-up out... im going to go use it now, since i have a big bottle of aloevera and lime juice mix i think i'll be using that from now on to tame frizzies... i will let you all know how it goes and post pics... L
ah and before i get replies on this i know it says it can't get all the buildup out, but it can't hurt. i'm also going to use the concoction on my hair but i can't get to the store until tomorrow. L
whats in theyre dewaxing soap if its meant to be used on your hands its most likeler a abrasive soap which scrapes away the wax which wont so anything to clean your hair.... im not sure though since i have no clue what it is
it is used to wash the hair before putting in the dreads, it's a residue removal. all it did was bring some of the wax to the top of my dreads but didnt' bring them out. i'm going to try the other stuff but first i have to go to the store for baking soda. was gonna the other night but i've been sick. L
i got everything but couldn't find any orange essential oil... did get the tea tree though. add that to the list of stuff that's pretty hard to find in ks. getting ready to mix it up now... pics later! L
