Think of being bald as motivation to keep your dreads.

like a hemp hairwrap? 1 if mine started that way some beads some wool wrap most just let em do theyre thing
if u do a wrap theres a good chance the part wrapped will be thinner then the part that frows in later but doesnt matter

wraps are more for decirative purposes but they do result in dreads so does doing nothin

you just let your hair do it's thing.
use beads to make your dreads combine, and they will form into larger ones.

actualy u dont gotta use anything o make em combine they will on theyre own
if your not of african descent you probly wont be able to get them too much kike that since most othe5r hair types lock slightly different, the tops dont always lock tight and loose haiers dont gfet bound up as easily so u may have a feew stray strands
congos form just as easily though

but to really answer your wqquestion theres only 1 answer how do u get dreads like someone elses? you dont... you get dreads like yours and yours alone

I ordered the knotty boy shampoo bar and wax online, but after reading most of this thread (like half of the 54 pages) im starting to realize that maybe this wasnt the best idea. most people have good feedback on the shampoo bar, but there seem to be many that oppose wax. i just turned 15 in august and have wanted dreads for over a year now, so finally starting them (hopefully this friday) is going to be a pretty big deal. My plan was to back comb them, add a LITTLE amount of wax just to get them more formed and started. I'm pretty sure the dreading process will be somewhat of a let down just because i have straight, thin red hair. i guess the best thing i can do is be patient, and thats a lesson i should learn anyway, but im just worried that my hair wont naturally do its own thing and ill have to force it to do this well. i want things to go right the first time so i dont have to make my friends come over and go through all that hard work all over again.

Anyway, my main two questions were:

    1. Should i purchase little rubber bands to prevent them from growing on eachother?

    2. Will my dry skin be a problem? i have had issues with a dry scalp before and i dont want flakey dreadies or anything.

im considering trying that rosemary deal because that sounds like a good idea, but im not exactly sure how to go about it, and if it is nessecary.

    3. is it okay if i shower, get my dreads wet, and just dont wash them? my only concern with the shampooing is dandruff.

    thanks!

    no wax period
none notr a lil bit not once never

vackcombing is your choice but it is agressive and pasinful and does dammage haoir alot
if u insist on it do it once and only once
]it may do u no good and fall ouyt completelky but thats ok u dont need to backcomb to dresd dreads will happen if u do nothing st all

    no
u can but em use em to jhelp backcoimb if u vbackvcomb buyt remove thenm soon 2 days at most

cvan be but not to worry
the deep cleanse and teatree/rosemaryu help a ton

addf 1 dropper full to 1 bottle dr bronners teatree b4 u dulite then dilute 12 parts water 1 part dr b

    shampoo all u want
    or dont
but with dry scalp u will wanna wash weekly at least
wash the scalp only then rince through the dreads

send back the wax and crap and demand your money back
