So what's their policy on crazy hair? Blockbuster fired me when I went pink. Idiots.

 

my boss didnt care about hair or tattoos. the company said clean cut with no visible tatts but she went to bat for me (long hair and visible tats and i did have to dreads at that time that i forgot about) as long as we did our job and stayed in the top 3 of the stores around in 3 districts they didnt say much

i really forgot about this, i was doing my hair when i worked at Hollywood Video but when i moved to a different city and got a job at a Video Hut i had to take them out

It's all very retarded. My store had porn on the bottom shelves right at kids' eye-level...but pink hair noooo that would be terrible wtf And my co-worker was skanky and smelly and looked like he was growing dreads but wasn't e.g. minging, and was always hanging around in his car outside having an affair with the woman in the laundrette next-door, leaving me to do everything. I had pink, but lovely soft shiny clean tidy hair and actually managed to stay in work whilst at work... but no... not good enough apparently lol

 

lol i know, but now, i dont have to worry about any of that, my job is fine with me going the neglect route, hell my boss says she loves the way my hair looks right now and she gave me a ok on wearing tams at work as long as they are dark colors

my store has a clean cut policy and dress code ect ect for whatever reason i am not held accountable to any rules or regulations im a bit of their wild card, in fact our manager even didnt hire a girl cause she had dreads, yet she tells me she loves my hair? but yea like the op said it is a easy job working with great people thats why i still work weekends

 

so this is my 3 week mark. this weekend i will be at the beach so i am looking forward to that since its been hot here. i havent used my sea salt water mixture in about 6 days, ran out and havent got my paycheck yet. well here are the pics

I wouldn't worry about "buying" the sea salt water.
Make your own. Or if you really want, bring a shitload back with you from the beach.

 

so i am pretty pissed right now. i bought this shampoo that said that it did not leave anything in your hair and all this. i washed my hair then once i got out of the shower it looked as if i combed my hair, i mean no knotted hair no tangles nothing. i turn the shampoo bottle over and read the small print and it had all kinds of stuff in to that it said on the front that it didnt. well i got a hold of the people who made it and they are going to send me back my $7 but the point is, almost a month of progress is gone! i am so pissed right now! i have been doing everything i can think of to tangle up my hair that includes riding down the road with my head out the window lol. that has helped the most so far. just had to get that off my chest thanks for listening everyone

so its been 3 days since the mishap with the shampoo. today is the 1 month mark. i have washed my hair with 3 lemons since then, about 6 hours of wind thur my hair, and all day in the ocean. i have to say that i am happy with where my hair is at today. you really cant tell that it was straight just three days ago. here are the pics

hehe, sry bout that 1-2 year thing, i didnt mean anything bad - mine just took abut 1+ year to look like mature dreads, but journey was great and a lot more worth than destination STILL I WISH U LUCK AND PATIENCE

thanks everyone, dont worry about the 1 year things, hell mine might take longer but after last weekend hishap, i am in no rush and i love not having to do anything with my hair!

found a few minutes to post real fast. i dont have any pics, but the progress is happening but slowly at the moment. i wont be back for awhile, i have so much going on with trying to start my own business, i will return in a few months but til then just know that i am going to stay with the neglect and let my hair do its own thing. until next time.....
