I was born in the good ol' USSR. There was nothing Golden about it. It was a time of in-state massacre, extreme population control, unbelievable poverty and hunger, political oppression, and a lack of basic human rights. Be FUCKEN glad to have capitalism. Right now Russia is going through tough times with leadership and political changes. Yet, it is slowly and surely comming out of it.
