Right, saying that matter cannont be created or destroyed, well thats like, saying that god does not exist, without the "so far as we currently know" part. But if god was real, (dont think he is), and he rolled up on me and killed me, then I would definitley change my mind.
The only way i can imagine matter being created is by magic. WIZARDS cant even conjure objects without reagents. im pretty sure its impossible
I'm pretty sure you're right, Colours. "so far as we know"...for fuck's sake.... 2+2=4 so far as we know. Talk about grasping at straws!
That the earth was the center of the universe, or even that the earth was flat was at one time as sure as 2+2=4.
Wrong. There was ZERO evidence of flat earth and sun revolving, only theories. There is evidence ALL THE WAY around 2+2=4. According to your philosophy we should assume we know nothing for certain, but I guarantee you nor anyone you know lives it. These philosophical games and your sophistry is easy to bat back and forth online with you challenging the truth of anything and everything, but in reality your whole foundation is based on the ignorance of everything. But, it is a fallacious foundation because it is built on up the appeal to ignorance rather than evidence. "You can't prove God doesn't exist, so he could or he does." Well, I say to you, PROVE the invisible, intangible dancing troll named Larry doesn't live in your head. PROVE that Charles Manson isn't really Jesus or Satan. PROVE that there NEVER was an Easter Bunny. By using your philosophy life would be one big ball of irrationality and I would even question whether or not I was even having this conversation with you. Are you real? Am I real? Bullshit. There is something called evidence which we used to make a reasonable assessment of the situation. The faculties we use to govern our lives are reason, logic and rational mental processes. Otherwise we fall into absurdity.
Of course we know nothing for certain, because there cannot be anything that is certain by the very nature of things. Prove it. How do you know you can trust your "faculties". Besides, what is wrong with absurdity and the irrational? Can you prove that your mind is at all connected to reality? Just for the hell of it, perhaps the easter bunny does exist, and is even fucking you in the ass as we speak, you just don't realize this fact because the utter horror of the situation has pushed your mind over the edge and so it has created this false illusion of reality where you are arguing over the internet as you find that perferable experience to your easter bunny ass rape. Why should evidence count for anything when there can never be any certainty that it is at all credible? Why should it even matter? For one who speaks of chaos you sure seem firmly rooted in your delusion of order. Why must there be a cause and effect, or any reason behind anything? What about coincidence, what is that? Anyway, by now after all this typing I am forgetting my point so I suppose I should probably soon stop. But for one so ardently disapproving of the christian closedmindedness your mind doesn't seem exceptionally open. No offense intended of course. It seems there is more, or perhaps less as it may be, to you than is made readily apparent.. Anyway, what better way to best understand your own ideas than to endlessly answer questions of the ignorant? Oh well, that's enough out of me for now.
Thats just like saying how do we know were not in the matrix, which is quite absurd, and i think you would agree.
The matrix pales in comparison to my wildly illogical and absurd notion of the way of things. I seek to understand the workings of existence, and eh.. I guess that says it all right there, one who would do such could not possibly be entirely sane eh? I don't see why people get some worked up over simple questions, unless of course they fear the continuance of such could cause them to themselves begin to question their own beliefs they had thought quite solid? Haha I'm such a dumbass.
That's pretty funny. The rain of thoughts pouring out from my open mind were just evaporated by your flaming ego. Thank you sir, I will never question reality again.
Yes and I am sure that you are pretty sure that it is impossible. You must even know this, but at least you are modest enough to leave open the possibility that you could be proven wrong someday.
But, are you really typing? Or is it just an illusion? Do you even exist? Who knows? So, I guess this conversation isn't really one either, so maybe I should end it. But, hey, since it doesn't exist, it doesn't matter. Ok, I tell you what, you keep living (which you actually don't, you just talk it) in fairy world where the Easter Bunny "could" exist and the entire reality that you perceive could all be a great deception. But, this debate died a few posts back when you journeyed into the realms of sophistry. And "Chaos" is beautiful, but it's an experience. When I speak of Chaos (Kaos) I am not referring to your modern definition of "disorder", but to primeval state of existence in Greek mythology. But, I can see how you would've made the mistake since you don't know whether or not you exist in the first place.
Why would I just talk about perception without living it (seeing how you dont even know me)? And why would a conversation have to die because you dont agree with me? Also what is this mistake you claim that I am making, the difference between modern and ancient chaos? Sure I dont know wether or not I exist, but that doesnt mean I am going to tune out of the realizations that I have made in my short timed period of what to you would be considered irrational thinking. But I can see how you can be so closed minded considering that you wear The Wall t-shirt without shame. Dear jesus that album hurts my cosmic mind.
The matrix is relevant because it is a truth within the story of reason/logic. All that we percieve is but electrical data.[ but for the self] And thus electrical data to us, is reality. Is that data accurate to what actually IS? Who knows, not occam or you. Occam
To you, obviously not. What does? Or should we even be assuming there IS something to matter...ad infinitum...ad nauseum... Ok. This ended up a dead end. Next?
What good are concepts you merely type meaninglessly? It's much more fun to force you mind into comprehension. Next? What's next?
In my opinion, atheism a religious form of agnosticism. It's a religion of non-existence and no-thingness. I'm not being offensive, so hopfully this isn't going to be taken the wrong way by anyone. That's my literal interpretation on atheism.
