I wonder if the book is any good...I keep seeing it and have wondered if I wanted to read it. I LOATHE a book with a crappy ending, or one of those that just stops and the reader is supposed to "make it what they want". ...I want a book to give me a conclusion, or enough of one that you know a sequel will be coming. But then, you can't judge a book by a movie, in that often the movie will totally change what I consider significant things that were in the book...such as the ending. Have you heard if the book and the movie are close? ...like the "miniseries "The Dome" and the book of Stephen King's "The Dome" that the series was supposed to be based on. Supposed being the operative word here...there were maybe 2 or 3 things out of 100 that were alike in the book and the series. I didn't like the miniseries but there was nothing else on here at that time, and I began watching it just to see how far off it was from the book toward the end. Totally Different.
Hi, Lynn.. I don't know if the book and movie are similar...I have not read the book......I was not even going to go see the movie, but I kept hearing about how it was worth seeing.....and it is a psychological thriller......ok.... SPOILER ALERT....DO NOT READ ON IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO SEE IT...... For quite a while one thinks the husband is the bad guy....but it is the wife all along making it look that way.....and she even kills someone along the way in cold blood....and I was disappointed as Ben Affleck let her win in the end, and did not kick her ass to the curb like she deserved.....she puppeted him back to her.
I was watching trailers earlier, and I wondered if anyone knew who this song is by and what it is called in the Gone Girl section. I like it. I never heard it before.....my sound hound did not recognize it.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esGn-xKFZdU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O040xuq2FR0 Song by Charles Aznavour and Herbert Kretzmer released in 1974. It was also used in Notting Hill.
Lynn I went to lunch with a friend last year and she was reading the book and hated it. I did not read it and have no idea if the book and movie are similar. My experience with movies is that they are rarely like the book.
Thanks, Spectacles. Such beautiful words in that song, no?....and melody..... Yeah, I am not going towaste time reading the book on this one...... I am having a hard enough time shaking the ugh off from the film here.....the creepy effect is has on me lingers..... I did like Ben Affleck in the movie and his sister.
Wolf Creek....not haunting type, but scared the shit out of me...about a lunatic..... I was wondering about what a good ghost one would be....most are silly.....that I have seen...not really thought provoking or scary. I need one to watch, too. I may just flip through stations here in a bit and find something random. BOO! lol Did i scare you?
I ain't scared yet moon, but I'm kinda in the mood for one of those gory type movies with lots of blood and guts but I've seen all the saw movies too many times. well, I guess mostly the first and second saw movie, the others I haven't seen as many times because the first and second were the best for some reason IMO. idk if you've seen the movie se7en .. I think it inspired the saw movies as it has a similar plot style. don't know if I wanna watch that tho.
No, never saw that....there is blood in gore in Wolf Creek.....based on truth, too, I think..... Stephen King's movies are thought provoking..... The Shining Pet Cemetary Carrie......etc hack em up...maybe the HAlloween 1 and 2 movies. idk I hope you find something to watch that thrills you........and happy haunting...I am looking for that ghost...have not seen any yet tonight....
Mr King wrote some books as 'Richard Bachman'. One of them is called 'The Long walk'. It's not gore-and-snot-and-blood,but it IS a really well written story-and one that stays in your mind, having read it.....
I'm tired. My animals had me running around since 8 am this morning with about 2-3 hours of sleep. I could not find anything good to watch on tv last night....fell asleep to some real haunting shows....where people are haunted in their homes by ghosts. I wonder if any of that is true...... I was haunted once in a house by some little shrivelled up evil scary woman ghost....but it was only one night....I slept with the light on ever after, and did not stay in that house much longer.....LOL I only saw her the one time...... guesss I will go lay down and try to find something to watch or fall asleep to for an hour or two more.....now.
I am going to go see this tonight...and maybe it will inspire me to break open my Ouija board when I get home..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T1Jj1inE8M
