also its 21C here...with a forecasted high of 25 or 26C later ....just the way I like it

 

It is cooler than average here (82 degrees F) and I love THAT. I hate the heat. It was 101 degrees F a few weeks back in Newark, DE and I was miserable. The humidity was so high that the heat index was over 110 F!!

 

it's horrible. I've tried about ten different things on for work - all the cool ones are not suitable for my job. I hate it.

Random fact - I smell like pond.

Before work I jumped into the lovely cold bathing ponds, it was soooo nice. Now it is like sitting in a sauna, I think this might be the last time you all hear from me.... I will die in this heat!

Fact: According to the World War I draft card, my great grandfather had Black hair, was 5'9'' tall and had blue eyes.

 

i need some sun or Im going to need a tanning table. this summer and spring are already bullshit. pisses me off I worked that hard on the pool.

Haha. I definitely am paler than I would like to be for almost July. It has been so rainy and cloudy this spring, and when it is not, then it is 95-100 degrees out, so I avoid getting sun.

I have been to the beaches a few times and since I tan easily and it lasts for months, I have been 'milking' the same tan for a long time. However, I have been a lot darker before, and would like to be that dark now. I don't know why I like to sun-tan. I just think it is interesting that my naturally beige skin can turn dark brown-red quickly after sun exposure. If I was as pale as most people of my ethnic make up (50% English, 50% Irish), I probably wouldn't care.

 

I don't think anyone can beat me on the scale of paleness! Bloody Scottish skin.

I am off to visit Mr. Norway soon - very happy!

 

It wouldnt bother me so much but being around someone that is tan and Im not, makes me feel a little awkward .. I have some sun. But Ill burn if I hit a tan bed right now least where I would have underwear on .. but I tan nude in beds.. not any sun here to do it outdoors at home..

 

When I resort to tanning beds (which I will freely admit that I have done), I always keep my boxer shorts on. I just figure that if I end up with skin cancer, there is ONE region of my body that I would really HATE to have surgically removed. You can guess where.

I was actually thinking of buying the cheap bed 7-session package tomorrow since I hate going outside in the summer so much, but, like you said, if everyone else is tan, I'd rather not stick out like a sore thumb. That, and I feel a sense of relaxation after finishing a tanning session.

I don't burn (except once at the beach when the UV index was like 12 and I was out for 4 hours w/o any sunscreen) so I'll tell them to put me in for the max time haha. I have done this before at this same place, so I am confident they'll allow it. I already have a tan, like I mentioned, anyways.

So, Random Fact: I am a straight male, who otherwise doesn't take any care for his looks, but likes to sun-tan and has gone tanning in tanning beds, but NOT in the nude haha.

 

What the sun can do in hours the bed can do in 15minutes. just have to be careful. I always feel better after hitting a bed for 10minutes. It shouldnt be abused for longer periods of time over 15minutes is bad..

 

I have never been to a place that lets you go in for more than 15 minutes. Most beds only let you in for 12 minutes, max. Good thing I don't own one of those machines, or I would abuse it like a drug. YIKES. That would be worse for my health than any of the drugs that I take on a regular basis are.

 

yeah.. Old beds had 1/2 hr timers. I think the fda did something about that.. But the place I go to, its only down the street from me. 15minutes it the longest the timer is set for.. its a small place really but its clean. poker machines in the back.. or you can poke her in the front .

 

^haha. Yeah. I prefer the "Mom and Pop" type places, but down here in Newark, it is so suburbanized that there are only fancy places. I frequent a place that is independent (not a chain) but still clearly has a lot of money and rich clients. I live in a relatively poor area, but only like a mile away is one of the richest areas in Suburban Philadelphia. Strange.
