We played a wimpier version of Bulldogs called Red Rover. I didn't much care for it. My favorite game was Dodge Ball. I was very good at that.

rf: I still have quite visible scars on my shins from playing soccer in 5th grade - everybody wore their hard leather street shoes, and my shins got bruised badly from kids kicking and missing the ball in tight quarters. When I first started I avoided melees like that, cuz it hurt so much. I finally decided to hell with the pain, I was going to play the damned game anyway.
