    what is a dust off?

dont you own a honda?...solenoids are usually pretty cheap for those...or if you know a starter/alternator shop the can usually just change the bad parts for cheap...on those its usually just the copper contacts in the solenoid or bearings in the starter depending on what its doing...click click is usually the just the contacts...grinding = bearings but you need to catch it quick if its grinding

I need to stop thinking about the person I am thinking about, because the person I am thinking about should not be thought of in this way.

    :( :grouphug:

What would happen if you kept thinking about the person that way? Would he have a stroke?

My stepson was trying to get his car started after it sat for months. The battery had drained. I got it started after jumping it for a long time, but the next day it wouldn't start again. He thought the battery was bad, so he replaced it. First time he turned the ignition, there was a loud click, all the lights in the car went off, and then nothing. He disconnected the battery, reconnected it, and the lights came back on, but trying to start the car gave him the exact same result as before. He jumped the battery, and then he got the car started.

He told me all this, and I said there's something going on here that I've never seen before - he shouldn't have had to jump a brand new battery, and I couldn't understand the click and then the lights going off. I said he might find it didn't start again the next day, and sure enough it didn't.

He did some Internet research, and he thinks he's fixed it. Apparently the security system requires that after the power is cut off, the key needs to sit in the ignition for a few hours to reset the system. He tried this, and was then able to start the car.

    Crazy shit.

The guy in the middle looks angry....And I don't own a cowpoke hat. I've always stated, if you have a cowpoke hat, you should really own two of them, one to shit in and the other to cover it up with......:)

Yep got a honda. Im trying to find someone to look at it, we don't have a lot of mechanics here and the one i like is moving from no work.

Im guessing the copper contacts need to be fixed, i have a hard time believing the whole starter itself is bad. Not sure about bearings..don't think that has anything to do with my problem, tho i could be wrong. I don't know how to fix this myself since this is a new problem for me.

The car has run flawless for years.

Fact - Some claim that Nietzsche had syphilis, which he contracted from men he slept with, which led to his mental breakdown.

Most Nietzsche biographers believe that this is untrue, considering that not only was he not gay, but he was celibate for most of his life.
